I believe Japan get Euro spec cars for most super cars, my Diablo is LHD from Japan, but a Euro spec.

A little more than a year has passed and I can only say that I love this car even more each time I drive it.

Did a clutch change (myself - but this site is phenomenal for information, so kudos all round).

    This winter, suspension bushings.

Do I need to ever visit a therapist? No, a 30 min. drive in the TR fixes everything!

    Congratulations!
I think I may of joined the “ broken diff” club on a trip to Canmore a couple of weeks ago.
That little problem aside, it is a great car! Enjoy it!

I now have a winter project

Hats off to you gents for driving your fantastic machines, and to Gary for sharing them with kids, his others and those less fortunate.

Don't get so anxious about the differential. 4 Tr's, one twin turbo with 750 horsepower and never a problem. Just shift smooth and don't hodrod
the car and you will be fine. Abuse kills them, not driving. Glad to see a 5 bolt lug car. Greatest in worth and love the color.

You sir have a beautiful car.

I agree on the long open road. Did the club drive from my home to Sun Peaks Ski Resort (800 km - approx. 500 miles total, with the wine tour route added in). Air temp. was high as well 32-33 C (92 F) and the car never missed a beat.

I've put 4700 km (almost 3000 miles) on since I bought her. No intention to slow down.

Beats silver any day and actually one of the top 3 colors out there.

But, it does make me wonder. One of our local club members did have his differential carrier fail years back. So he advocates for the upgrade.

I agree with you on driving habits being a contributor, but also wonder about the level of failure if it warrants people like Newman to spend time on making an upgrade.

Thanks for the compliments on the color of my TR. I have had some people tell me  that it looks better than in red.:D

Solved a bit of a mystery today.

I attended an event at Ferrari Maserati Vancouver and got to talking to the service manager. I inquired about touch-up paint for my 1990 TR. I gave him the paint code but he also asked for the VIN. Just to verify the paint code no doubt and that the car was legit. Anyway, towards the end of the event, he told me hadn't heard back about the paint (done by an outside supplier), but asked me if I was interested in knowing the original vendor of the car.

Of course I said yes. So, car was originally sold March 16, 1990 in Italy!! The vendor was Lightspeed SRL, a licensed Ferrari dealer who also apparently dealt in grey market cars.

That explains the European VIN on a car from Japan.

Many more questions obviously such as was the car purchased by a dealer or individual.

Nice thread, I am envious of all you gents doing your own work on these cars.

I'd like to find someone here in the NJ (tri-state area) that is doing their own work and I can talk to about my cars.

I love the Yellow. I have a 348 in Yellow and just bought a red Testarossa!
