Guys I need to remove my taillight panel but have no room to get to the screws because of this contraption. Does everyone else’s 360 have this? I’m stuck. Does it

What are the markings? I don't have that and the top part looks aftermarket.

It looks like there are some type of markings or letters on the top of that black and red thing..

I have a secondary air pump at this location on mine ('02 US spec) ....

On your picture, that "red box" (and possibly all of what's under it) smells very much aftermarket, those pink/orange electrical connectors and all the black plastic wiring protectors are not coming from Modena ;-)

It's an aftermarket device of some sort. Nothing like that ever came from the factory let alone being stuck to the top of the air pump. Could be part of an old radar detector set up of some sort, or maybe a back up camera module

I'd suspect some old POS alarm module or tracker.

Wonder if a decent mechanic could tell me, and extract it? Is the pink box something different than the part that it is sitting on? Can someone post a pic of what your car looks like in this region?

Might be an aftermarket secondary air injection pump used for the Euro to US conversion. Is there an air hose leading from there to the exhaust manifolds? If it is the secondary air injection pump, the pink box on top could be the pump relay.

Drivers side is where the air injection pump is located. Does the green hose connect to it? If so, it is air injection.

To me it looks like the sort of condition you get parts in when they're from a salvage yard. The secondary air system is intended to only run for a minute or so on startup, so a time delay relay would be the sort of thing that will be installed as standard.

incredible find! I think I will wait until the car is due for the cam belt service and have my Ferrari guy figure it out. This car was imported from Europe early on (I did find out that it originally was sold at Scuderia Monaco), so this is probably an add-on to pass emissions, etc.

No harm in it at all - I just can't get my taillight panel off. Note to self: Leave your panel alone. :D

As Robin noted, the time delay relay makes sense. I already said I thought it was air injection pump. I saw the air pump but never paid much attention so I am not 100% but I am 95% :)

And I never removed the challenge grill. I did replace the backup lights with LEDs so I was in that side once.

for certain. And I look at all of these posts about headers, valve guides, exhaust tips. I’m like what the hell is a header? I probably have zero business with a Ferrari of any sort.

So I'll bet its a hob cob job to install the blower and have it run for 10 seconds at startup. Either your car is a euro and they did it for compliance.. or.. (worse) a prior owner had issues with the startup pump with a CEL or something and cobbed it in to replace the OEM circuitry.

It is done correctly and your first guess is correct.

Husker, if you didn't get it I have the list of exactly what was done during localization. It doesn't have pics but what was replaced.
