e36 m3 is one of the greatest cars ever made they made 10k or so e30 m3's. not sure on e36 m3 production.... problem is finding one stock and not thrashed
"The majority of E36 M3s were produced at the Regensburg factory; however, a small number of detuned right hand drive M3s were assembled at BMW's Rosslyn plant in Pretoria, South Africa. In total, 46,525 coupe, 12,114 convertibles and 12,603 saloons were produced." A lot lol
I daily a '99 I don't gush about a lot of cars, and E30 M3's are great, but bang for the buck, I don't see anything that comes close to an E36 Coupe, stick, with sticky tires Easy enough to make a little extra power if needed. I'm running Dinan S1, Remus, clutch, M52 still there because the M50 is cool, but it's low end/vs top end, toss up.
yeh im always giddy to drive my e36 m3...the e30 version is more of a poster/track fix...for daily driving the e36 m3 is the one to have....so dam balanced and surgical, shifting for no reason is fun...
I don't have free floating fun money at the moment, but if I did, $45-55K range for this, can you go very wrong? I spoke to the owner via email a bit too, seems genuine and like a solid car. I'd explore if I were in for a E30 time now. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2433718-For-sale-1988-M3-in-Indiana
While im looking for my e30 m3, I just ordered a M2 CS for some track time. I looked at a few e30 m3 and made some offers. I found also an e36 m3 euro and has a pending offer. We’ll see.
$45 yes. Anything above 50, not sure. There are cars worth $60 running and ready to enjoy. The car has been left in the garage with no current maintenance, old tires and non-working AC. And who knows the underbody. He is asking $56. I am waiting on 2 cars for $60k pretty clean cars with less than 100k mi.
I went MP4s yesterday. They should be here tomorrow. Went all season though so I can drive until the salt comes
This isn’t helpful in the least but I thought I’d share...I was working at a Ford dealership writing service on the weekends after college, circa 98-00. We’d get some nutty trade-in’s. I got an 85 Corvette for next to nothing. Guy bought a Focus and traded in an 88 M3. Low miles black on black. Got it for a friend, I think it was 4200 out the door, that was my price. They must have given 3700 trade on it. 10 year old car, 50k miles. Can you imagine? Anyway, good luck. I got a free 318i when I was teaching at the vocational center and we went sort of off the deep end with mods. HS kids loved it and it was a fun project. Love the look of those cars, with or without 5 motorized televisions Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
