    Hi,

How long should the Testarossa battery last for before the car needs to be driven to recharge the battery.

I’ve drive the car every weekend since getting it and plan on keeping that up as long as the weather allows for it, however I’m curious to know how long the car can be left without a trickle charger? I know all batteries will be different but on average, what can one expect?

Mostly depending on of course the state of battery, age, etc but since on the testarossa there isn't much of an electric draw I would say 4 6 weeks would be the max I would chance it

In the past a number of owners experience a drain from the radio ..so be aware

Remember the biggest factor is the battery state and age and temperature of storage

Joe has a great point ..you can shut the switch in bonnet and the battery can be kept in a state of charge longer

For a 30 year old car, every car would be different at this point, depending on a number of factors. Step 1 is using a good trickle charger, so you don't have to worry about it.

Just remember, it will cut the power to your radio, clock, etc so all will have to be reset once you drive it.
Put a battery tender on it. Don't use the switch.

Mine goes for 2 weeks plus with no trickle/tender used, but the radio is disconnected, which helps.
