Im the opposite. I got a FF and it’s a huge turn off for me not to have a 3rd pedal. Lacks soul, and ifs almost too easy to drive.

    Although I've not driven an FF I can see that. It's a front engine V12 and more of a GT than a 360, 430, or a 458.
To me, my 360 has lots of soul. No screens, no antiseptic feel of unnecessary driver controls which makes me feel I can get into plenty of trouble on my own if I'm not paying the utmost of attention under power.

Agreed, however the FF is filthy fast. 3.6 0-60mph it’s just crazy

That's $6,000 for a 355 major in a medium priced city, and you get a standard list of things. You can probably add:

    Oil lines rebuilt
    Water pump replacement, or rebuilt
    Extra coolant hoses
Sometimes the coolant radiators and fans need replacement
Heat exchanger for gear oil / coolant
Welding your cracked frame, that's more
    Suspension light comes on, +$
    ABS light comes on, +$
    Airbag light comes on, +$
Your spider top does not work, +$
    CV boots cracked, +$
    Engine mounts sagging, +$
    Alternator needs rebuilding, $400

If your compression or leak down is bad, well, all bets are off.

Oh I bet it is. Always admired the V12's. Actually considered a 575 when shopping for my Ferrari.

All valid points. But from my experience of driving stick 911s over the years, the shifting on the track with the 911 is tight, precise and positive. The 360 gated shifter is none of those things. But for most there's always the romance of it.

My 360 is an '03 and has the latest TCU. I can understand the earlier cars having less allure with the older version TCU. But literally "rowing" through the gears in a gated 360 just seems too archaic for me after driving the 911s for years. Not to mention extremely tedious in traffic.

But of course, to each his own.
