Can someone please tell me all of the bits and parts and pieces that composed a 456 Schumacher Edition and how many were made? Worldwide production? How many made it to the USA?

Also, was there a 550 Maranello Schumacher Edition? If so, same questions as above: all of the little options and nuances, worldwide production, US allocation, etc.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi there

There was never a 550 Edition. (Edition was the 456 only).

There were Carrozzeria Scaglietti Factory Michael Schumacher Option cars - all LHD. And probably about 6 ? produced around 1998 and all with similar chassis numbers.

A few years later they copied the specification and called it the WSR. There were 33 WSR cars but missed all the full extras of the full Schumacher Option.

    Cheers R

I can only answer the US part of the question. I keep a 456M registry that I continually update as new information comes available. For Schumacher Edition 456Ms, there were 3 that came to the US. All are late production 2003 MY cars, all are 6 sp manual transmissions. 131132 was Nero Daytona/Grigio Alfieri with a Bordeaux interior. 132383 was Grigio Scalietti/Grigio Nuvolari with a Grigio Scuro interior and contrasting Bordeaux stitching. And 132385, the next to last 456M sent to the US was Grigio Nuvolari/Canna di Fucile also with a Grigio Scuro interior and Bordeaux contrast stitching.

As far as options, there weren't really any mechanical differences like different ECUs for steering or suspension or anything. They were pretty much standard, late production cars. My data does include the contrasting stitching but nothing on Daytona seats or contrasting inserts. Or colors of brake calipers. The Edition was basically a two tone paint job.

I don't know about the rest of the world but I presume these Editions are equally rare as their are in the US

Carbon is banned from here so can't respond.

131132 must be a mistake as it is a 360.

Right you are. Typo. Should be 131232 as the first Schmacher 456M that came to the US. Thanks.
