Agree with almost everything here, except that I watched NASCAR yesterday, and also watched the Indy 500 and yesterday's Indy car race. In NASCAR, several cars had the lead, pit strategies differed, and NASCAR's stage racing adds an element of mid-race intrigue. If they'd get rid of the restrictor-plate racing that leads to mass pile-ups at Daytona & add a couple more road courses each year, they're fun to watch.

I haven't watched Indy car racing for a number of years, but my desperation to watch live sports got the better of me last week, so I watched the Indy 500. Once again, pit strategies, several teams vying for the lead, and pretty good shootouts between Sato and Dixon last week, and Dixon and Sato again yesterday with the other guy winning kept it interesting to the finish line. I really like the green-white-checker of NASCAR, and hated ending the Indy 500 under yellow, but both were far and away more unpredictable than anything in F1 on a dry track.

I enjoy a dominant team, no matter who they are, but one that can be beaten by an underdog if the underdog plays out of their minds and has a great game/match/race. In F1, the engineering is fabulous, and Hamilton is the driver of his generation, but unless they crash right after the lights go out, there's not much doubt which one of two drivers will win.

I don’t like the direction of Ferrari’s road cars and I like even less their seeming complacency with being also rans in F1.

It is astounding how long management lets clowns like Binotto operate. Enzo or Montezemolo would have cut his head off a long time ago.

With all the resources at his disposition, he must be the worst team principal at the moment.

Ferrari's answer can be a simple one. Just fire Binotto and then hire Clair Williams. That way they can blame everything on her. How ever long it took Williams to sink to the back of the grid...Ferrari has done it in just one season. What if Vettel and Leclerc drive the cars backwards...maybe they'll end up being faster. If I was Haas I'd be talking to Renault and Honda and paying Ferrari to let me go.

    Movable aerodynamic device. Banned.

Unless Mercedes (or Pink-cedes) do it,... then allowed for the remainder of the season.

1st time I haven't watched the Belgian GP in 20+ years.

F1 isn't worth the 90 minutes in it's current state.

Let's see. Renault had a mass damper in the nose of the car and it was banned as a moveable aerodynamic device....despite not being an external device McLaren was fined $100MM for having Ferrari's blueprints that they didn't use. Mercedes has DAS which breaks two major rules and is allowed to race. Clown Point xeroxed MB's car from last year. It was deemed illegal, yet they are allowed to race.

I think McLaren need to ask for their $100MM back.

I have no words. That has to be the most embarrassing race for Ferrari that I have ever witnessed - and I’ve seen plenty. The capitulation of the team is complete. The end.

+1 Red Bull at least have interest in the race...Ferrari F1 is shamefully bad. Binotto has lost the plot, Ferrari asks of him things that he's not good at.

Brundle also let slip this yesterday during warm up "you can see the Mercedes drivers moving their steering wheel back and forward...they're adjusting the geometry...and of course also the ride height as you can't just change 1 thing when you adjust geometry''. Whoopsy.

I just want to know how did it get so bad so fast? were they cheating so bad that there is no hope of coming back? Why are Ferrari powered cars faster than Ferrari? I suppose if I had the answer to these questions I should apply for a job!
