My beloved Ferrari team sux. That's it. Period. No one will look back at McLaren or Williams in years to come and say that for years they have been 'developing'. Being terrible is simply that; being terrible. Call it development year/s, a transition phase, adapting to new rules, punishment for bending the rules last year....call it whatever you want. If Ferrari did not have a contingency plan or an implementable improvement plan, then shame on them for being a multi-million dollar outfit who is now a laughing stock and will be for some time. Annoyed and disgusted. .
Ferrari mindset is we are in F1. We love F1, we are here the longest. Mercedes - we are here in F1 to win. We love to compete.
It’s even worse than 2.5s as you need to include at least 1 second for general performance improvements from 2019 to 2020 spec cars. Net net is more like a 3.5 second drop in performance. I can’t recall a top team ever delivering that bad a year on year performance drop with a ‘stable’ package (ie same engine / rules). The Ferrari engine issue has clearly caused major problems. I hope the true story comes out one day because there has clearly been a major cover up here. Having said that, not all the blame can be laid at the feet of the engine team. The rest of the car isn’t performing - and when you add in the handicap of the worst strategy team on the grid, it’s an all round disaster. Why does binotto still have a job??!
You haven't been keeping up with things, have you? Or, you're privy to more details of the secret agreement between FIA and Ferrari then the rest of us? If so, please fill us in . . . .
A thoroughly pathetic showing by the Scuderia this morning. Is it worth even watching the race tomorrow with Elton 1 sec clear of the field? Depends on if my eyes open at 7 am or not. I'm not setting the alarm.
It’s been a difficult 12 odd yr drought to come in every race weekend to root for the Scuderia, with the last couple of years being the hardest and most painful...like the years before, I just want the season to bloody end ASAP.
In the past, I used to celebrate Spa for three things: 1) Michael's debut anniversary 2) My birthday 3) The general 'good form' of the Scuderia This year, is probably the worst in recent times. Basically, Ferrari are just faster than Williams. This whole thing is a disaster. Binnoto has to go.
Yeah right. As if anyone believes that. It’s blindingly obvious... He’s just spouting ‘non news’ to the press as per instructions from the PR team.
There might be a small positive aspect that SF set up the car for a rain race. It will most probably be a wet race and the set up could be already changed for this afaik they are not allowed to change it before the start (park ferme)? Otherwise the FIA punished SF by a year Red Lantern Strategy..... Ciao Oscar
