Im doing sunroof repairs on my Mondial T and have had lots of help from the archives(thanks). I just fitted BMW cable #54121857874 from Early e24 is an option as opposed to the Porsche cable. While Porsche cable is a bit shorter than OEM, the BMW cable is longer. And hence can be cut to exact length, and the original cable-stop does not need to be altered. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes it means it will shut and keep the rain out- next step is to disconnect the motor and live your life without the certainty that the next time u open it, it will not shut and send u to the same doctor i saw to get over it.
Yeah seriously. Never get involved in the first place with a vicious ***** of a women. Same goes for trying to fix a Mondial sunroof. Thank God for F-Chat and all the resources to at least give us a good fighting chance though. Add me to the list of saps that have spend countless hours trying to understand and fix the system. Looking at the bright side, it's not that bad once you figure everything out (at least that's what I keep telling myself).
There are 2 different latches which bolt to the underside of the lid, i managed to find new ones from ferrari, they had assembled part of the rears to the front ones, no wonder they would not fit
