Leclerc, the rookie, is already shaping up into one of the greats in my books, even though he has no WDC to his name yet. He got thrown into the deep end, and instead of just surviving, he is thriving. I hope he wins with Ferrari, but even if he doesn't, he's a hero!

I'm very pleased as well for banana man, Vettel - not so much. I was actually rooting for Vettel. I want nothing more for him to prove us all wrong.
Vettel breaks my heart too many times.

Top drivers always put themselves in a position to capitalize on opportunities. CL kept pushing and was awarded 2nd for it. Sure, it was a gift, but he had to be in the position to unwrap it. I suspect he will be like this all the time.

I did not see anything from Ferrari where they are euphoric about the performance of the car - they are not stupid or delusional.

But points are points, and assuming they have not given up on improving the car or given up on the season as a whole, it was a good haul and would provide some level of encouragement.

I think he isn’t in it mentally anymore. A switch is off somewhere for him

Would love to see him in equal cars against both Max and Lewis. They may be surprised.

I wish I had a flack jacket those few times I've karted. More speed is in trusting the grip that overwhelms your ribcage, neck, and senses. 2 square corners can sometimes be faster than a longer single arc.

Even more instantaneous g's when your daughter puts you in the wall (ooof, my ribs). I went to the stewards and she was penalized.

My little ballerina has a some fighting spirit. In similar LO206 karts, I cannot overtake her unless she makes a mistake.

Ross Brawn: "A driver can go two ways when faced with a difficult car. It can demotivate them, their performances start to drop away. Or a driver can do what Charles Leclerc has done and find extra performance that helps subsidise the team when things aren’t so great."

Ross Brawn: "I often felt with Michael, there were races he won which he should not have won because the car wasn’t good enough but he managed to find a way to win. That is what makes a champion. Lewis has demonstrated that.Charles Leclerc is doing similar at Ferrari right now"

What is good about Leclerc is he doesn't look for excuses, he's hard on himself but he learns each time. You can practically see him learning and improving each lap.

Seeing VER through the tough conditions of the FP sessions and Qualifying, I started to think maybe Charles wasn't at VER level of talent but today he proved the opposite!

If Ferrari fix the engine for next year and the wobbly rear end LEC will do a LOT better than people are expecting.

I agree, I like Leclerc's attitude when he makes a mistake.

I think this whole weekend was redemption for Vettel...in tough conditions he really did a great job. Vettel lost over 15 seconds due to strategy compared to Leclerc.

The wobbly rear end is an issue for both drivers, Leclerc can drive with a wonky rear end better than Vettel can though.

Many drivers made mistakes during the race, Lewis, Leclerc, Bottas, Max, Ric...not easy conditions.

Nice reactions from both Ferrari drivers....but that power of that Merc engine is incredible compared to Ferrari! Such a poor exit, no grip, no momentum...and easily drives alongside Leclerc's car....who had DRS!!!

He’s so animated, almost Italian, ha-ha. He’s serious but also with a great sense of humour, seems like. Can understand why he’s so well liked.

I would notice more the lack of power of our engine this year.
If they fix this next year maybe Charles would be able to win some races on merit alone.

He is very French to be honest- Monaco is more French then anything with a strong Italian influence but Charles Leclerc is a typical French name and behavior ;)

Have you ever been to Monaco during weekdays? Seems like the language you hear the most is Italian.

Also, the Monehasque dialect, that is taught for all pupils in Monaco, is a Ligurian language and thus practically the same as Genovese dialect.
