Ahem......the Datto, for the whole trip,............28mpg...amazing. The 365 would have been about 5 gallons to the mile!
Surprised to see Ferrari drivers worried about mileage I drive to a servo fill it up and drive it, I don't even check the price!!
It's an interesting measure of efficiency. The best I got from the Daytona was 20mpg also, with a smaller and more sophisticated engine. Fuel is the cheapest part of owning a car, depreciation followed by servicing are much more relevant. The indy car uses about 6 litres for a 2 mile lap, so less than 2mpg
Agree though I'm not shore I've ever attained 20 due to 6x sidedraught Webers. Were your carbys the same size (not type)?
At the Rainbow beach fill up I used 47 liters to Giz’s 56. Just saying. Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
Imagine what a PITA it would be having to fill that thing up at a race meeting Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yep, not like there’s anything you can do about it... I do remember grizzling after the WA rally many moons ago as their fuel was hugely more expensive than ours was at that time (2005). Fantastic rally that covered a lot of area plus track day, 1/4 mile, hillclimb, ‘spirited drive day’ (JK drove my 308 on 1 section of that which may have increased usage slightly ) plus an extra few days of touring - I think the fuel bill for 10 days or so was about $475 from memory! Just think of that as $47.50 / day and seems like cheap fun! And that would be a bargain trip with today’s ripoff fuel prices...
Was looking forward to the GAD where the roads are much better....... Marc's doing a fair bit of work on it ATM so no problem. It would be good to be able to fly down whenever and take it for a drive after it's sorted but with the world as it is.....
Just a headsup chaps,I as well as Gizz put new boots on our respective cars, not that it's all that relative but I had a wheel align done. I've just had the car serviced as it came due on the drive and I asked them to check the align gain...RHS was out. We traversed some dodgy roads, bumps and ridges perhaps it's worth a lazy $88 to get yours checked as well.
OMG is right, Satan will NEVER see roads like that again .... .and we weren't even going fast !!! The roads were ok for "normal" or SUVs or shatheaps
