Hello, First time poster here, I owned a lot of performance cars, but never a Ferrari... I think it's time... Where do I start looking for insurance quotes for a 360 Modena... Looking to buy one but I want to make sure I understand all the expenses before I drop the cash on one.. I am in MA, US. Many thanks
use the search function in several of the car forums and the general ferrari forum. This question comes up constantly, and all options have been laid out already... (also pay no mind to the prices people mention, as they will vary a great deal for each person and their many variables. Even when someone says ABC Insurance was cheaper than XYZ Insurance for them, you will find many people that found the exact opposite) Also, just call a broker in your town and they will get you several quotes. Give them a car you are shopping VIN number and price and tell them you are looking at buying it, but need quotes.
I have GEICO, forget the cost, but it was the best rate I could find. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Private Client program from Grundy. $165/mo full coverage, 0 deductible, agreed value $110k on our 06 F430 Spider. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Good on you AGREED VALUE. These are the magic words. Any policy that is not an agreed value is going to leave you sorely disappointed in the case of a total loss or theft. Lived through it and it truly sucks. No sympathy, no concern of value, no anything. Standard insurance companies (in may case State Farm) couldn't have cared less about my loss when a 16 year old ran a light and totaled my completely restored 911 Carrera 3.0 Their initial offer was less than the listed value of a run of the mill 911S for the same year. And this "value" was assessed by their so called "expert" in special cars. Fought with them for over a year and never got near what the car was worth. Never again. Only Agreed Value policies from then on. Fair warning.
I was recently presented with the same "problem" as my normal carrier doesn't do exotics. I ended up with Grundy and I'm happy with my decision.
I pay $700 per year, $75,000 agreed value. 100k/300k stacked. No milage limit, listed as a pleasure vehicle. Florida policy. Clean driving record (have a lawyer handle all my speeding tickets..lol). Policy is issued by SafeCo a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual.
