Thinking about selling my 1977 308 GTB, red with tan/cream. 76K miles, just completed major service this month. Runs perfect, a nice little Ferrari that is all original with all its books, tools, pouch, trouble light, extensive documented history including a factory finish repaint years ago. Came out of FAF Motorcars in December 1977 , it has John Apen's signature on the warranty booklet. No rust, no issues, driver's seat could use a refinish, some minor cosmetics inside, small ding on passenger side rear fender. Great driver carburated Ferrari. I understand the 77's are lower than later cars, so it has a great stance. Smog equipment was removed years ago. Runs and sounds like it should.
Priced at $55K firm. I will post more photos this week-end.

More photos, mainly showing cosmetic issues. I didn't take photos of headliner, rear firewall, or glass because all are near perfect. Original wheels do have some nicks. Engine is super clean. Front bumper shows some fading also.

Wow! That profile is gorgeous. Is that the lighting or is it a stain/water on the close up of the visor? And what exactly is that close up of the nick/ding (looks like the door maybe)? Thanks!

Forthright, honest presentation by the seller. We've done business over the past year and he is a stand up guy. Best of luck with the sale.

Thank you Sean. That is my shadow on the sun visor. The door bottom pic shows some previous chips that were touched up.

I was told that the 77's didn't come with any smog equipment, does that sound correct? Experts can maybe help here as I am not familiar with this. FWIW, I decided to keep the car anyway, so no longer for sale. Thank you for all the comments!!

    Our smog items:
OEM muffler called a "thermoreactor"...most of us renamed it "fire hazard' and put on an ANSA

We have an evaporative charcoal canister, rear engine bulkhead that gathers the tank venting and ports out to the atmosphere.

The R1/R2 points and dual distributors are emissions related, controlled by a throttle linkage microswitch.

    Air pumps, air injection nozzles.

Damn the software hiccupped and wiped out a much longer answer.

we DON'T have catalytic convertors, they came in 1978, so your statement must be a abridged version of that statement.

The air pumps, belt driven and tubing and control valve and injection nozzles would be an "active version" of pollution equipment.

The R1/R2 points are only there to "modify behavior" during a sampling test, like VW did last year!!

If you really want to get rid of it and dont sell it, you might consider Bringatrailer.com. You might get more than your ask. Its more work up front though, so if you are on the fence, dont bother :).

Im likely picking up a red on black locally. Great looking cars!

Thank you guys, and thanks Ken, appreciate the kind words.
Agree, I will put it on Bat this fall, enjoy it a few more weeks first, probably best avenue to sell such a rare car.

I think you should keep it...my 1977 is silver. I was thinking, maybe I should sell it and then I saw a 308GTS on the road this weekend and was like damn, that car is nice. Two weeks ago, I saw an F-50 on the road in my town, I let the driver make the turn in front of me when the light changed and it was a woman with blonde hair. Hot damn!!! Keep the 308..

Don't sell that car for $60K...you will regret it. These 76-77 GTBs are gems!

From 1992-95 I had a '77 308 GTB in California. Had 55K miles on it when I sold it. Very reliable.... never had a problem with it once properly serviced.
SMOG equipment - just as BIGTEX says: OEM muffler called a "thermoreactor"...most of us renamed it "fire hazard' and put on an ANSA.
We have an evaporative charcoal canister, rear engine bulkhead that gathers the tank venting and ports out to the atmosphere.
The R1/R2 points and dual distributors are emissions related, controlled by a throttle linkage microswitch.
    Air pumps, air injection nozzles.

Getting a SMOG certificate in California at the time was a real PITA. I recall going in for a smog check one time and the hose from the air pump blew off with a bang. Fortunately the shop didn't know what to look for and passed me. Whew.
Sold the car in 1995 to a guy in Taft, California. Bought a beater 330 GT which was another story.

Current ask at $60K is below Market at this time IMO.

In our ads we had an example offered at $72K and withdrawn.

Those looking on should be calling the OP.
Sure, they look "needy" but appearance renovation can change the world, in this car's image.
