Drove the '03 360 today 70 miles, no issues. Pulled into neighborhood & stopped to put the top up. Couldn't get it in gear. Tried "auto", same. No reverse also. During the tow back to my house, I could get it in gear. Stopped to unhook, went to N again. Began tow, strop broke and I got it into 1st and passed the tow vehicle and got it in the garage. Once stopped no gear selection. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Richard Car bought with 8K miles and I've put 4K on it. Serviced on schedule.
Let's start with a few questions Any error lights on dash When you open door do you hear pump ...how does it sounds ..how long does it stay on Anything done to car in the last week or so Any leaks or funny smells Do you have a code reader Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
Thanks! Nothing on dash. All hatches secured. Pump worked ok & working now when parked after a time. No smells. Reservoir full. No code reader. 377,miles to dealer, thankfully I have a transporter.
Do the brake lights work? F1 tranny will not engage any gear if the car doesn’t know you have your foot on the brake pedal. My guess is: the fuse for brake lights blew. It happened to me once. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
After hearing your symptoms and the answers...I would agree with above post (twvAtlanta)about brake switch .. it is something that has come up before .. check it out and let us know Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
I don't have a spider, but I assume if the sensor doesn't recognize the top is closed it won't let you go into gear. Brakes are the same thing if the lights out or the switch sensor on the pedal you can't go into gear and there's no warning light. Most other things that leave you stuck in neutral will give you a dash warning light such as door open, frunk open, or the engine lid open.
Same thing happen to me bad brake light switch. You can buy one from Maserati 25.00 same part number as Ferrari one same box . Hard to believe such a small part will disable a your 360.
TMVAtlanta nailed it! Blown 10 amp brake light fuse. Cycled top, all good. Just to be safe, when I raise/lower top I will set P brake and not have my foot off brake pedal. Dunno why fuse blew. There IS a 10 amp fuse in the tool kit, added a few more! Thanks for everyone's input.
