Last year i bought a replica of the Italian flag badge that is optional on current models.

The quality is excellent and it looks like the original.

However i'm now unsure whether to stick on on my F12b. Of course I could fit it and remove it at a later date but as i'm having the car fitted with protection film i need to decide pretty quickly.

My current opinion is that whilst it would look good, it is not factory fitted and won't be on the build spec plaque in the boot of the car so maybe i should leave it off.

    Opinions please?

I also have one and i taped it (VHB 3M double tape) on the protection film. It can be removed later easily and with no damage. Although it is not original it looks very nice, and as long it is not permanent it is nice to have.

Optional if you're Italian. In either case, I vote leave it off.

I have one. Planning on sticking it on about 1/2" above the Ferrari script on the rear.

Not sure why you say your flag badge is a replica, is it not from Ferrari?

Anyway, I'm not Italian but my car certainly is and I actually have the 20x0.9 cm flag badge on order (they come in 3 sizes/shapes). It will look incredible on the car. Since you have it already, why not just use it or sell it at least. It's not cheap. Like you I would also stick it on the paint and not the wrap film.

I would say go for it.
Stick it to the film, [ or get the film guys to do it] otherwise they will have to cut the film around it and may risk damaging the paint, I am fairly sure they take of the Pininfarina badges off to do the front wings and then stick them to the film.

I have a small one on the lip of the boot lid, but I would be tempted to place the larger one centrally on the same lip.

Just do it... looks much better and if you don't like it you can take it off later, it being not on the build sheet won't mean much, it's a cool option and regardless if it's OEM or a 'replica' it doesn't make a difference IMO
    I like it ;)

Just do it. You will love it. And if you don't, it's easily removed. (This is on a 458.)

That's the ideal placement to my eye...3/8"-1/2" above the script.

Thanks for the feedback and pictures.

I'm with Christian that the right place for the badge is just above the Ferrari script on the boot lid.

I'll decide when I take delivery of the car and go from there. :)

Either is acceptable. The USA one is likely my former F12b :)

Factory pricing is 1200 according to my dealer US. They offer an add-on post purchase as well. Their source is 300 or so and will install as specified by factory.

That prompts an ethical dilemma for some .....

    I like it. Slippery slope
