Yet another video now available... this one my Dad's old F355 Spyder. One of three he went through... I think this was a 1997 model. You'll also notice the Lamborghini Diablo in the garage next to it, as well as my old Vehicross in the background briefly. Enjoy!
BTW I need to say I uploaded the F355 video because I just got a chance to drive similar one yesterday. Red tan 6MT. What fun. I can understand why people like these cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
nice to see this thread revitalized, I didn't realize how old it was - great photos and video. Keep em coming! Cheers
Another new video uploaded. This one from a Trip to Los Angeles in 1988. It features an Italian car dealer notably selling recently legalized Lamborghini Countach in California. This includes a Black car that was purchased by heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson and was soon to be picked up. Also some fun cars in the service area and interesting chatting with the sales reps. Hope everyone had a good July 4!
Really cool video. The young salesman is pretty useless. He only sells two brands and wouldn't have a whole lot to do all day and it sounds like he doesn't know anything about anything.
I have some killer photos of the Ferrari factory from a tour I did in 1985 with a ton of Testarossas and GTOs, but I am not familiar with how to upload photos to this site anymore. I used to just click on the photos attachment button, but I don't do a URL / media gallery thing.
Awesome vids and photos.. Dreaming of owning Exotics when I was a kid in the 80's was my life!! Finally got to the point where I've been fortunate to afford a few a few different "bucket list" cars over the last few years. Just bought my first Ferrari (85 308 QV).
It was summer, maybe July? My dad took me on a trip as a high school graduation present. We took the Queen Elizabeth over from NY, tuored around for about 7-8 weeks, and flew back on the Concorde. It was quite the trip! We visited the factory because my dad had a few Ferraris back then (first a Dino GT4, then a 308 GTSi, then a 512BB, then a had a Testarossa on order I believe when we were there), and he thought it would be fun to see.
Absolutely great thread and photos. Before the internet, and all of the social media and car spotter groups. A time when spotting a Ferrari or any other exotic, was an event in itself.
Here are some pics from the 1985 (could be 84) Daytona 24 hour race. We were one of the advertisers on the Mosler Ferrari cars (a 308 and a 512 Boxer car). Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Yeah, but I was more interested in the Testarossa at the time. It is funny how revered the 288GTO is today, and back then it really was not. There was a row of maybe 10-12 of them on the outside of the factory ready to be shipped.
