    Dear all,
I had to go to the car inspection and there they looked for the place where the chassis number is stamped into the chassis. The number on the steering column and under-hood shield was insufficient. We did not find it, neither of the employees there. So I was able to kick it off there without inspection. Does anyone know the number.
    Thank you very much, Peter

Sorry, I ment: Does anyone knows where to find the stamp in the chassis? It was the first time the car had to be inspected.

I had to deal with that during the first inspection too... :)
You will find it under the hood on the right side somewhere between the engine and the wheel arch, if memory serves...
I’ll go to the car tomorrow and get a proper picture...

On the frame, just inboard of the right front suspension, just behind the steering crosslink......you may need to do some cleaning.
Lean over the right fender, find the tube for the oil level dipstick and follow it down.

It is also on the opposite side for right hand drive cars. It will be on the opposite side to the power steering unit.
