Afternoon all, Finally a few months on after first inquiring, I'm now a 458 spider owner. Upgraded from a V8 R8. Signed up a little while ago and found these forums unbelievably helpful, so now i'm finally an owner thought i'd post a hello. Been Maranello loads of times over the years, but always wanted to do the drive in a Ferrari so looks like next year (pandemic pending) i'll be able to do it. Wont lie I've loved my R8 and originally was looking at a new V10 Plus R8 as my next motor, but then looked outside of Audi and once I viewed and test drove the 458 there really was only one option. Look forward to being part of the community. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
beautiful car, congrats and welcome to the forum! please give us your impressions comparing the RS to the 458 also, some interior shots!
Congratulations mate! I own a 2012 458 Spider myself and it's the best Ferrari I've ever driven. You'll love it loads, there's nothing like a 458, especially the Spider!

Welcome to the family. I am sure you will love your 458 as it is a great car. The only downside to ownership is all the attention you will get. You'll get used to it though...... You chose a good one. Best wishes, Gene Greer
Congrats, make sure you drive it. I am a spider guy myself. Nothing like a 458 Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
Thanks all. Did around 200 Miles in it on the first day of picking it up. Lovely to drive. I know someone mentioned the looks you get and yep any time you come to a round about / traffic lights or even when I stopped to fill up it gets a lot of attention. To be fair until I went to view some I was unaware of the colour difference between the Rosso Scuderia / Rosso Corsa. After seeing them both had to be the Scuderia for me as well as the crema leather. Ideally wanted the roof/central tunnel all in creama as well with red stitching so it ticked pretty much all my boxes. Just waiting on a Boovee Bluetooth adapter to come (as it has the 30pin Ipod connector), then I need to sort with a air vent phone holder or cup phone holder for it and that's me done then. Compared to the R8 - obviously louder but what a sound it makes. The seats hold you in place a lot better than the R8, keeps you on your toes more as it's RWD not 4 wheel like the R8. Was worried it might not be as practical as the R8 as not a daily driver but a regular driver car but it's perfect. and the Boots bigger as well, so can actually fit weekend away luggage in their nicely
