Personally I think it's a shame when FIAT people talk their cars up needlessly. This was common in the days of the 3200 coupe, when some people added Ferrari badging, in the delusion that the engine came from Ferrari.

Of course some FIAT's are more desirable than any number of Ferraris, such as the 8V.

 

I have driven both cars, yes the fiat is a lot slower in acceleration, but it's top speed was not far off the 330 due to engine being slightly hotrodded (blue print and balance with triple Webers) and it's road holding is identical to the 330 even with torsion bar suspension

Uralla cops clocked it at 237 with my brother driving , them's the facts, don't GAF what you guys say, was back in 1982

The trouble with Ferrari people is they hate to think they have blown all this money on an over-priced HOS that is only marginally faster than a lowly fiat

If Ferrari people really want to feel stupid they have to look no further than the GTR35 monster Horse drives, yes the car might be ugly but it's another level up on performance for Ferraris all the way to a 599 but I don't think we buy Ferraris for the ULTIMATE performance kick

I love hoping in my HOS and looking at the dash and steering wheel and thinking of the company that IS formula one and the history of GP racing ...... so they don't win all of the time, so what, they keep trying and never give up, like Toyota, BMW, Jaguar, etc etc

Fiat won a LOT of the very early races in the 1900s (this is why the FIAT symbol has the laurel wreath on it's badge) and, like Mercedes many years later, decided to pull out of racing as there was nothing to prove (according to their marketing department)
