I will receive some better videos soon . This was my iPhone. Tell you its so much better than what the video shows. You can here the higher shrill. Also note the valves are connected at this stage.
I’m not entirely sure. I’ve had 3 of them installed at my dealer. When I picked up the Pista, the remote kept the valves closed instead of open, so I I took it back immediately and they fixed it using the polarity of the valve and the magnet.
I couldn't really found lots of informations about the Tubi Controlller and I wanted to give it a try and see was it does. I know a few Pista owners with No Cat, with 200 and with 100 Cells and some of them have issues and some others not. So we will see how it works and if not we gona change it. very easy
There are work arounds with the cats but its hit or miss in my experience. A tune generally works though.
Mine is on order + the extra one if someone here wants a deal. Hopefully it will be in soon. We also ordered one for an 812.
Alright guys, I'm going with the Novitec Inconel muffler section with flap regulation (aka fancy german name for valves). I'm also ordering the Capristo exhaust valve controller.
Alright! Likely my combo as well. I’d say can’t wait to hear it, but likely that will have to be the case unless it’s in stock somewhere.
parently so. not sure what they are hoping for volume wise given the stock system is straight through when the valves open. This where the straight though needs to run through an Inconel large X too. The volume isn't going to increase without the sports cats. This has already been clearly explained to me by Kline but I'm always keen to listen to user reviews just in case the maker got it wrong. Truth is Jo Sta7 is that the Pista sounds pretty damn good running straight through the stock cats w valves open bi passing the muffler so any real improvement can only be had by running the straight through gas through a large x pipe and reducing the backpressure using 200 cel cats instead of 600 cel.
I just don’t see a downside in replacing cats. They’re just pipes with a filter. 200 Cel will pass emission and 80% of any power bump you get (we’re only talking 20-25 hp total here) will be from the cats along with more noise. Cars ECUs won’t need a tune. The exhaust then tunes the noise.
The Kline system I ordered includes the 200 cell sport cats and valve controller. To me, it makes sense to use a complete system from one mnfr.
The cats will only pass emission if the precious metal content is adequate to the dimension and flow rate and this is obviously where the 100's fail hence why CEL is thrown. That said you can achieve the right emissions in a 100 cel but is much more costly to do due to the precious metals and cat design. The current 200's appear to come within range of the o2 sensors but the precious metal content in the cats essentially determines this. It could be the case that they are operating on the very outer extremity of the range though as the 200's can throw a CEL i'm told which means they are very much dependent upon fuel quality. The Pista and F8 having the pressure sensors upstream also add another complication.
Good info. I am being told by Kline there should not be a CEL with their 200 cell cats but would need a bypass or tune for the 100 cell cats. I will know soon enough as mine is on order.
Don't use the bung extensions as a friend of mine has reported these increase the chance of CEL in the Pista. He speaks from experience and, on the Kline as he has it on his Pista. Since removing them it is fine.
