It’s for the helium air option in the tires
Looks like a Hyundai dealer got it and is already advertising it. They have a free car fax report on their website. It provides more questions than answers though https://www.northfreewayhyundai.com/inventory/used-2004-ferrari-challenge-stradale-base-rwd-2d-coupe-zffdu57a740139356/ I wonder what they will list it for. I can’t imagine it going for more than the 180 they have in it

That's a nice CS at a good price. Especially if it really had $40K spent on it to bring it to as new condition.
^^ I've seen that one in person many times. Absolute steal at that price, it really is. someone buy it and DRIVE the thing!
This is what the previous owner said about the $40k in January 2019: “When I purchased this car, it was already in excellent condition considering having "higher" miles. However, I’ve spent over $40k to bring this CS as close to “like new” condition as possible without cutting any corners. For example, many CS owners know that the lexan engine cover is prone to scratching and occasional discoloration. To the tune of $15k, I replaced this lexan (as well as all surrounding carbon fiber) with factory parts. It looks phenomenal and as if it just left the factory. I have all service records for work I’ve had done to the car, as well as extensive records throughout the life of the CS. Annual services have always been completed on time, and always by a Ferrari Dealer or reputable alternative. Many potential repairs that could be expected for a car with this mileage have already been taken care of, including: F1 Actuator Cats Motor & transmission mounts Ball joints/bushings/axle boots ALL fluids (gearbox, F1, etc) ...and more” https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2004-challenge-stradale-argento-nurburgring.591956/
Thanks for that. I wouldn’t sell a car I spent that much money on. I haven’t spent that on my CS and I can’t find a reason to sell it. It’s so nice driving a car with no computer screens in the dash.
Weather was nice last night, so used it as an excuse to clean out the garage and exercise the CS and 488 a bit! Erik Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any info on this CS? https://www.porschenortholmsted.com/inventory/used-2004-ferrari-challenge-stradale-rwd-2d-coupe-zffdu57a140137456 I think the car was owned by Fchat member Maxer Anyone know the previous history of this car? Looks like all previous owners have been in Denver, Colorado. Planning to get a PPI on this one in the Cleveland, OH area. Any recommendations?
We have a lot of cars: C5 Z06 (which is mine I’ve been on fchat a long time, disregard my name), Dad has the CS, 488 Spider, 355 Spider, SLS Roadster, and a Caddy XLR-V for sports cars. Out of EVERYTHING, the CS is my favorite for a 45 minute ride on our country back roads. The car is so enjoyable on a nice dusk ride. It’s not really enjoyable in traffic and on highway trips it leaves something to be desired compared to the other cars. The door panels, race seats, sound, interior, design, just make the car so cool and even timeless. People might think I’m nuts for saying this, but driving the CS reminds me of my C5 Z06. They are one year apart, from the same “light weight” era and need your attention to drive them fast. The modern stuff drives you, you have to drive a CS. The CS would be the last car of the bunch I would get rid of... for my Dad he loves looking at the CS more then anything else. The 488 you rack up miles on, for us the CS is a car you just take for a “blast.” Erik
Lightweight with precise handling. Sounds amazing and plenty loud. No frills. Mechanical with limited driver aid compared to the new stuff. No engine out service required. Good value even at current prices!
Great write up. Some great quotes! If our all Of your cool Cars it’s your favorite it must be great. A Ferrari should be a blast to drive ! I so agree about the modern stuff driving you. My perfect trifecta would be 512TR, 355 Berlinetta and a stradale ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
