Gotta be careful, but it stinks. A friend of mine had to cut back on his pasta eating because he tested for pre-diabetes.
Good Lord, you and my wife. If I didn't cook, she'd eat cereal for at least 2 - maybe 3 - meals per day! Life cereal is her fave...T
That's the one! Cinnamon Life. I'm boring, I like Cheerios with some fresh berries, or a sprinkle of good cinnamon. I tried the Honey Nut Cheerios once. Too sweet! T
Tonight is either Burger King, feel like a Whopper. Or the chain here called Triple O's for their burger special on Tuesdays.
I'm not a big fan of cereal. I rarely eat breakfast. Even as a baby, I didn't eat breakfast. I have a big lunch instead.
Apart from that, frosted flakes and cinnamon toast crunch were my only sweet cereals as a kid. I ate plenty of rice and wheat chex, crispx, rice crispies, honey nut and regular cheerios. I'm surprised honey nut was too sweet. I'm pretty sensitive to it and think they used to be sweeter.
Yeah, my mom bought off brand rice crispies and corn flakes. I think she made the mistake of buying Cap'n Crunch once, and we were bouncing off the walls from the sugar high, so that was the first & last time! I was the same until I got married. Toast, light lunch, work until late, then big dinner. Now, of course, being older, I can't sleep after a big dinner, so I try to have something like coffee, a smoothie in the morning, green tea in the late AM, something light for lunch, espresso/cookie break around 3 PM or so, then dinner. From the other night. Wife said prime filet was on special @ Costco. Probably because they were the odd-shaped end pieces of the tenderloin?!? So, I did them on the Smokey Joe using the "keep flipping it like a hot potato" method of grilling. Came out good w/ veggie tots and a side salad...T Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Did the regular burger on special at Triple O's with onion rings. Having trouble connecting my laptop to my iPhone.
Club sandwich and onion rings (bagged). I don’t do bagged fries but don’t have the motivation to make homemade onion rings. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
No carbs for lunch.......ying/yang (sugar is 98 now). Most of that is turkey & ham with nice thick homegrown tomato slices. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Don't ever eat off brand honey nut cheerio's. They are awful. Alexia is good stuff. I usually get the sweet potato waffle fries and add garlic powder and cayenne powder to them. My mom mentioned getting a blizzard several times today, at 6 o'clock I asked when we're getting one. She said tomorrow because she no longer felt like one. Thanks for the build up.
Blizzard is a good idea. Had one the other day. It was the best flavor I've had yet. But don't think they sell coffee crisp candy bars in the states anymore. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee_Crisp
Bastille Day yesterday. Grilled burgers and corn. Chinook buzzed overhead with his back door open. Lot of A-10s flying around lately also. First Chinook I've seen in the area. An Osprey / tilt rotor went by last week and they make a distinct sound - loud too. Surprised how quiet the Chinook was. The only bottle of French wine we had. Oh's. Never had an off-brand . . . well, anything. Green Giant & Libby's canned veggies are low enough quality to just say N-O. Del Monte's standard. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
I only buy two store brands. Kirkland is one. The other is by a Canadian store chain and their private label is President's Choice. Like Costco, they select quality products and sell them at a discount.
We'd see A10's on occasion when our friends lived in Tucson, based out of Davis-Monthan, I would guess. Cool plane. Never saw one doing a gun run though. Osprey would be cool; never seen one except on TV. Indian food night before last. Veggie curry with veggies starting to wilt in the fridge, plus fresh spinach from the garden. Behold, my latest & greatest culinary invention, The Brisket Biscuit! Brisket was oak-smoked, did it about a month or so ago. Homemade beans, home macaroni salad, homemade BBQ sauce, biscuits - not homemade, but from a can. The Veggie Tots - cauliflower - were from a bag. Image Unavailable, Please Login T
