So big upgrade by Ferrari and they go backwards!! Maybe they should dig out the 2019 car, either that or stop bringing upgrades!

Regardless of Ferrari’s woful performance, should be a good race; and like him or not, what a lap by Hamilton!!!

It wasn't really a big upgrade a few tweeks really, if I was Leclerc would be looking for an escape plan right now.

Let's hope the kid doesn't loose his fervor and intensity for racing. 2 years w/o engine development and Ferrari being in the position that they are in, it can be quite daunting on the youngster.

He should have said that "he hadn't seen it". For Hamilton it almost worked.

I don't think it's the power unit that's the issue or the rain would have helped, instead ferrari is exactly where it was last week meaning the chassis just isn't very good. That full upgrade better work or last week's p2 might be the high point of the season.

Maybe even the 2018 car--it seems better than this one, too.

Any mention of what time, and what channel Qualifying will resume in the US TV?

Where will he go? With Alonso not going to Mercedes I can only see him go there. Red Bull won't happen. Everything else is a long term bad gamble. Sadly, this already seems like Jean Alesi all over.

That's what I was thinking .... before today.
But when the car sucks in the rain as well as dry, there's more amiss than missing horses.

Certainly isn't the drivers. We all know how good Vettel is in the wet. for him to qualify 10th....this car is fundamentally bad.

Last year they ****ed up the car, going for an idiotic low downforce, low drag concept (in an era where ultimate downforce wins titles, every idiot knows this). They had a great engine for a while, so had they stuck with the 2018 concept they'd had a very good chance at the TITLE for 2019.

But now their engine has been neutered, they changed the concept, and messed it up totally...and the chassis is ****ing awful. We have a car that doesn't do what the driver asks of it, with high drag and poor downforce, and an engine that's now possibly the slowest of all. Impressive way of ****ing **** up.

 Hamilton on pole by over 1.2 seconds?!

That doesn't bode well for the competition. o_O

Dreary result for the Scuderia. :(

    All the best,
    Andrew.

The aero has been a problem since they decided to adopt Red Bull style rake in the car. Its been compounded by the motor and correlation issues. With the delay in the new rules Ferrari have to figure out what focus to adopt. New car or this foul chassis for the next 2 years. The ROI on this car is nil. Id go 70% new car and throw 30% at this if even that amount.

Though one now. Ordinarily I'd say do the hungary update then chuck the rest in all new car....but new rules delayed by a year, so that would be 2x heavy investments.

I'd blow the dust of the 2018 car instead, insert current engine (presumably it's still a bit faster than the 2018 unit) and apply updates where necessary...but allocate most time on 2022.

Ferrari should just claim they've got the cramps and bow out for the rest of the year.

They’re not supposed to be working on the 2022 car - like Merc weren’t supposed to be working during the lock-down, but who checked. Even Honda surprised at everything Merc did “since” coming out of the lock-down.

So, yeah, f 2020 and 21 (expect for the engine) and do a Merc and prepare for new rules with everything you’ve got.

Also, I think Charles will do a Monaco 2019 and crash out trying to make up places from the back.

I wonder how that is controlled....what does Ferrari name their 2022 car on the computer 2021? :D
