I did another steak last night. I'm doing a Costco run for my parents. I'll surprise them with Chinese food tonight. Craving sweet and sour chicken balls again.

Fried spaghetti. My grandma used to make this for me, usually for lunch. Made it for my wife once, many years ago, and it's now one of her faves. Spaghetti, tomato sauce, ricotta, parmesan, mozz. Scalding hot pan.

Paid our taxes yesterday, so it's the traditional rice and beans. With ground wagyu, blue corn tacos!

Pizza. Cucuzza and tomato sauce with lots of garlic, mozz. The round one had some leftover ground wagyu and ricotta and Tex Mex cheese mix AKA stuff laying around the fridge. Tasty little bugger!

It is. Usually when I came home from school, if we had leftover spaghetti from the night before, she'd add mozz, parmesan, ricotta, a little more sauce & then fry it up.

If you have nerves of steel and a well seasoned cast iron skillet like my grandmother, you get a nice crunchy crust. Kind of like the best crunchy bits from a lasagna. I usually wimp out before it gets to that stage though.

I'm headed to the interior of my province to look at a car. 6hr drive there and back. On the return there is a hole in the wall diner. Plan to have dinner there. James May and Jeremy Clarkson ate there. It was the last episode of Top Gear with the boys.

Yeah. We had to fight the county on property tax assessment this week too. Unfortunately, some jacka$$ overpaid for a property 0.1 miles from us and that skewed the comparables. Probably a California transplant! We fought back and got a 3% reduction versus their assessment.

Got something called a veal hip from Dartagnan. Sliced it thin-ish and then pounded it with a mallet to make a scallopini. Take out that tax payment frustration! Dust with flour, sautéed in olive oil and butter. Made a lab sauce by adding fresh lemon juice, white wine, S and P. Added a little sugar since it seemed a tad too tart. Then reduced.

We’re still doing The Met Opera every night. Most are excellent, some not so much. The Magic Flute Last week was epic. Wow.

So far, they've been spot on with delivery and quantity. Pricey, but we get about half a dozen meals per order, and it cuts down on us having to go out shopping so often...T

Well that sucked. The restaurant they filmed an episode of Top Gear at is closed due to covid. Ended up at a chain here. Had a toasted shrimp sandwich with onion rings. It had dine in with limited seating and menu. was going to have a bacon cheeseburger, but out of burgers. will post pics latter.
