Here’s my front solenoid. Looks toasted. Getting power though cuz it trips 25a fuse every time I push switch. Looks like the RM-1683b solenoid is still available from same seller on EBay.

I had to replace mine 4 years ago.
I decided to buy a cheap version as a temporary solution, till I was sure why the solenoid burned. I was afraid that I would end up buying several.

Later I found out that once in a while the switch kept hanging after pressing, probably causing the burning of the solenoid
I would replace it with the original version, but still today I have the temporary solution in place.

Is there a current supplier of solenoid switches for the Mondial t? I'm thinking of replacing mine now after seeing this thread.

My fuse also kept blowing. Found out it was the switch getting stuck. Now, I push switch and push it back into place. Hood opens and fuse is not blown. Weird how it would burn out before fuse does...

It's always best to use authentic parts, instead of ordering non-functional cheap reproductions in China. The latter will last for a couple of months and then stop functioning.

Have you considered rewinding the coil. Wire is available and the process is not complicated. It looks like the solenoid is easily taken apart?
