New Silver member in NW Georgia

Having read the "Please forgive us for ignoring new members" sticky, I thought, "I have teenagers... being ignored is nothing new".

Anyway, I've been a member on FC for a while as a lurker, and occasional commenter. Decided to move up to Silver membership and signed up this morning.

Discovered Ferrari, as did many others my age, via Miami Vice. I don't currently own a Ferrari, a Mondial is on my goal list as my first exotic. Having spent some time in the forum, I know Mondi's don't get the love of other models. That's ok with me... it's the perfect family-man Ferrari, in my opinion.

Since I'm the one paying for the car, my opinion is the one which counts most. lol

Mid-engine, V8, 5-speed gated manual, Pininfarina styling, and room for the entire family... it checks all my boxes.

Anyway, I'm almost 50, married 20 years, father of two. One is a Marine, the other is in high school. I'm an entertainer, so if anyone in the Atlanta area needs an experienced DJ for a corporate event, wedding, school, etc, please let me know... I'm working on buying my first Ferrari.

I haven't seen a Mondi in person yet. I've been told they are not "photogenic", and are much better looking in person, but I still like the lines in photos, especially the coupe. Besides, I'm "old school". It's the right era for my preferences ... 3x8, Testarossa, Mondial, 400i... they're all from the 80's era when I discovered the brand.

 

Nice! I saw a bright yellow F355 spyder in my little rural town... mostly see trucks, SUVs, and mom-mobiles, so it definitely stood out.

Black interior, black top. Very sharp looking. Love the hidden exterior door handles.

Just saw your reply. Sounds great! When and where is C&O ? Normally, I missed car shows becuase I DJ on the weekends... but the DJ event calendar is pretty slow at the moment. COVID, ya know. lol
