could be an investment for a potential f1 drive. a side door communication.
Yep. Red Bull doesn't want to lose him and seems Max had some pretty big offers. Last year Max said something about Ferrari cheating (with their engine I believe), or something that amounts to that. For him to buy a very expensive (current most expensive they sell?) shows he doesn't think *that* bad of the company itself
So, If Verstappen was to score as many points as last year, which isn't impossible, he would earn an extra 13.9 Million €. I think he is the favourite in many people's mind this season.
I wish to say he was favourite, but I think that Mercedes is a much better car. Heating issue solved, incredible rear suspension...going to be extremely tough to beat. Red Bull -May- win the opening two rounds but that's not a season made...
Way. He is the favorite of two of my racing buddies (I don't get it...'don't 'ticularly care for him). Not the favorite for the championship, but their favorite, nonetheless. Is that what you meant, Mssr william?
Yes, he is the most likely, it seems, to take the fight to Mercedes. That's why he gets quite good popular support. I don't particularly care for him either, nor for Red Bull anyway.
Max last night on ServusTV. I could post alot of statements from Seb....but why? Horner was on the show too. Max says: "In the end there are many good drivers. But in the end it's more the car than the driver, because in the last 5 years many drivers would have become world champion in a Mercedes." Image Unavailable, Please Login
The usual sour grapes from Verstappen. Vettel knows: he got 4 titles thanks to being in the best car of the moment.
All the same, the statement's true. Also true is the fact that LH and NR have been in Mercedes'. Yup, when preparation and opportunity meet.........WDCs result.
Just stating a fact. Witness Perez speed in a year-old Mercedes run on a shoestring (relative to Merc) budget.
It takes a good driver and a good car to win. The small difference the driver makes is crucial to winning. Team interaction etc etc. Max thinks he can take the Mercedes and win. Positive but he would need to adjust to the car and the team. No winning is assured at all. Ask Bottas or Kimi or Vettel. All losing in equal machinery!
Not necessarily lesser, but definitely not a dominant car as the championship went down to the wire with 3 drivers, 2 manufacturers and one spy.
Kimi greatly benefited from the internal fight at McLaren that year, and won the title by a whisker. Ron Dennis wouldn't designate a number one, so Alonso and Hamilton were stealing each other points all season.
