I thought this and his other videos were pretty interesting! Enjoy:

I like all the changes he made to 430 except although I like the Scuderia nose better. I have another one of his designs in the 675LT and I think that is one the best looking sports cars in the last 30 years.

Interesting that he wasn't given a "clean sheet of paper" as they say. He openly admits the car was an update to the 360 and not really a new design. Kind of confirms why I always looked at it as a warmed over 360. Of course the HP was upped and the timing chains replacing the belts was a great upgrade to the performance. But the looks... meh. Except the headlights. I like the headlights a lot.

Bettering a Pininfarina design... big shoes to fill indeed.

FYI Pininfarina employed Frank Stephenson so it’s still a Pininfarina design, just like whoever they hired to design the 360...difference is the previous designer doesn’t have the resume Frank does.

timing chain is a downgrade to timing belt performance wise.

things i can think of: weight, inertia, etc.

Things I can think of: faster, more durable, faster, faster, faster etc.

chain is slower, because it is heavier. more inertia
    durability is not performance.

Durability is not performance? Tell that to folks who race in Le Mans and every other Motorsport that extends beyond leaving the garage.

Should have said, bettering the 360 in design a tall task indeed... But thanks for the info.

Loved this video; great series and wonderful design., a nice evolution of 360 which is a beautiful design in its own right.

As much as the 360 and 430 were exciting in their day the 458 , to my eye , is truly stunning.
If it only had a stick.

I also prefer the Scud angular front end to the rounded nostrils of the normal 430.

I second that. When I saw the 458 in photos I was somewhat unmoved. When I saw it in person for the first time, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. A beautifuly designed body with just enough "edge design" to compliment the flow of the lines. The Scud front end shows me that I can like angular design in the right doses and right places.

I don't particularly like the 458 design; isn't really about the edges or angularity, but overall, it feels too feminine to me. I liken that feeling to when I see a California; it's a pretty car for my wife.

The Speciale is less so, but I hate the front-end...reminds me of a dustbuster and angry catfish.

He just added a Maserati MC12 video! I’ve always found it cooler and sleeker than an Enzo.
