I have a new for me 2003 Spyder. The top occasionally freezes in the opening cycle. Reclosing and reopening has worked so far. Anyone else seen this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

The first thing you should know is that you have a SPIDER, not a SPYDER.

Second, get a good code scanner that can read the capote. I suggest the Autel AP200 ($70 on Amazon) which has virtually all the data for the 360, including live data. You can check the capote ECU for error codes.

Third. Are you closing and opening the top with the engine running? This is mandatory and is specified in the owner's manual. Operating the capote without the engine running can cause overheating of the pump, among other things, that can cause you endless grief. Low voltage during operation can cause it to stop. Such an event would be indicated in the codes thrown by the capote ECU.

And finally, welcome to the 360 owner's club!

Thank you. And yes the car was running. FYI I go every year to East Memphis airport to do my jet license recertification.

    Very common issue...............

When was the last time the hydraulic fluid was flushed? If it has never been flushed it was way overdue.

Also, it always helps to warm up the engine a little bit before operating the roof.

I want to thank everyone for their ideas and help. The winner was plastique999. It was the elastic bands. Obviously could have been a lot bigger problem.
