No, sleeping by Binotto
No, it is not evident. In fact,I believe in more speech, not less. But, just to clarify, I neither like nor appreciate the intrusion of politics of any brand into any sport. Strictly speaking, the recent moves of certain F1 teams are not political in the pure sense, but they do push agendas that are typically associated with a particular political point of view. And finally, F1 itself, through its teams and some of its own statements, has, quite unfortunately, dragged the sport into that arena. Nobody in the forum would have ever commented on it if not for that. It is now part of the sport because its participants and owners have overtly made it so. I don’t see how it makes sense to make any aspect of F1 out of bounds in a forum that is about F1. Still, I will avoid making comments that are considered inappropriate to the forum. Cheers!
I think the political issue will melt away with bans this weekend here because only those who disagree with humanity would have a problem with what F1 is doing now. More on topic: I still can't believe we have a race this weekend: glorious! I love that circuit (well the original long version) and would be there if the public were allowed. I just hope no crowds of misguided fans try to come close, Austrian and UK police have already warned fans not to come close there and at Silverstone. Wild guess: while he has won in Zeltweg the last two years I still think he is not quite mature so my 2 pfennig guess is Verstappen takes out himself and a Merc or a red car in turn 3 and the man in the fastest remaining car wins: Albon! I do think Alex can win a race this year, he has the speed, smarts and class. Of course I want Charles to win but the car may not be up to it until Hungary.
Charles is my favorite, but I want Seb to prove me wrong. No help to Charles if Seb crashes into him or the wall.
Well I think Seb understands that if he causes several serious problems he will be dragged out of the car and fired early. Martin Brundle has an interesting theory, he thinks that Seb will feel liberated of pressure and excel. That might well prove true which would make it very interesting but I still think he is not a good "battler".
To be clear, responding to another’s P&R posts are still nonetheless P&R. Just a warning. Also, consider many good people that are not racist do not like P&R in F1 for the same reasons many here don’t. To not like activism in F1 does not equate to a defective humanity.
It’s hard right, given the issue is the two (politics and sport) are getting intertwined. But we’re all big boys, let’s keep the discussion about drivers do on track (not off.) We can discuss the merits and demerits of each team without going into race, sexuality, and what social political views a company or owner has. By all means go to P&R if you want to discuss these things, in fact we encourage folks to.

It is to the detriment of every sport that thinks that their's is a platform for social and political activism. Quite the contrary, sport is an escape from such brain damage and champions merit over prejudice. Sports that persist along that path of social and political activism will lose fans in great quantities.
Of course I hope Seb or Chuck win. That said, I do have a soft spot for Honda. So seeing Max come through again would be fun as well.
....Look at Becky, she dresses so much like a slut...I can't stand her, she knows what she's doing, why does she do that? Bet she cheats on her boyfriend, I wonder how much she paid for that purse. I hate how all she does is talk about how people don't look as good as her, look at her butt? Fake, real? She thinks she's so pretty, omg. She's not pretty, all she does is talk about herself, and how good she is. She's not that good, oh wow - look who's she talking to now? IS that so and so? I think it is. Please, she so fake, I don't know why she things she's so good....
Nope, absolutely nothing to do with F1, but folks seem to keep on wanting to talk about things F1 shouldn't talk about by complaining about things F1 should be talking about... Many don't see the irony.
This is just as much a political statement as those you're complaining about. Don't complain to shut up other posters and then expect to be able to post your own political beliefs.
