    Hello All,

I'm just wondering what coating is best and most durable to use on the garage floor? Also, what might be the best company to do that application in the Atlanta area?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ciao,
    George

Check out garageforum tons of info there....depending what you are going to use it for you can do anything from paint, epoxy, or something like swisstrax or racedeck.

We used some cheap epoxy 6 years ago, and it still looks good. Not great, but good. In Florida I had the interlocking tiles (bought at www.floorjunkies.com). Really liked that flooring.

I did Rust Oleum Professional epoxy in my auto repair shop. Over 10 years, it wore off directly under where car engines are when on the lifts. I assume it wore off from the wheels on the rolling chairs we used. I had no issues with and peeling, scratching, or chemical damage. I will use the same in the new shop I am building at home. I figure with only occasional use vs. professional daily use, it will last forever.

I did the Rustoleum in my basement on my ownsome. It came out great.

once upon a time I looked into the stuff they use for airplane hangars...two part, lays down over everything, indestructible...then I figured the outgassing/fumes would kill everyone in the house...so nope.

Thank you everyone! Lots of great suggestions. I will check out all the leads and see which one works the best cost/benefit ratio wise.
