Normally the Bang issues were "of a team" and "of a time".....so possibly a local hillclimb or some of the more popular European events, you may not find it as a Lemans 24 Hour entry for example.

But they were based upon "real cars" I have many Bangs that rep that time period...

Dark blue/white stripes would have been a Sir Rob Walker entry, on a 250SWB

It doesn't look like an in period livery to me, rather something from a later historic event (eighties?). Look at the decals. There's a triangular electrical kill switch decal. Also the placement and look of the "sponsor" decals seems more modern. And Sportitalia might have been a historic racing team. The font looks a bit like that of Scuderia Campidoglio.

Good hint. I can spot "Historical ... something" and on another sticker "Bilbao".

It certainly is a historic racer (maybe 80's/90's) - Bang/Best/Brumm produced several promotional models for clubs or companies.
I found a picture of a Lancia Fulvia from a German Historic Rally (Hessen rally, year unknown) Image Unavailable, Please Login in the same livery:

Sorry, can't find a website - years ago I had some printed catalogs offering models decorated with your club or company logo which could be made in larger quantities. Unfortunately these catalogs are long gone, I don't even know if these companies still exist as I concentrate on 1/24 scale.
