I need a new set of tires for my 348 rims, fronts are 215 50 17 and the rears are 255 45 17.

I checked Tire Rack, and they only have 3 options in those matching sizes. BF Goodrich, Michelin and Yokohama.

Does anyone have other sources for tires? Thanks in advance.

I drive me car...but do not track it. YMMV.

I have been running Continental Extreme Contact DW's for about 7 years on my 355.

Heading for the third set of rear tires. Not sure why, but those seem to wear faster for some reason. :)

I have a set of Firestone Indy500's. Laugh if you want, i'm pretty impressed. I don't track, just a spirited drive now and then. I flipped the coin between those and the conti's.

The Pirelli leave quite a bit to be desired if you read reviews and tests.

+1 you can find a lot of good/better alternatives for less $. IMO, most people just like the "name"

That's correct.... only 3; BF Goodrich, Continental and Yokohama. That's why I was wondering what other alternatives there might be. Otherwise, I'll likely be going with the Continentals.

Pirelli PZERO Asimmetrico’s in the correct 215/50/17 and 255/45/17 sizes at Discount Tire and Pirellis retail store in LA right now. Expect to invest around +/- $1,300.00 + tax
If you want that OEM look then these are as near as you’ll get. I’ve been content with Continental Extreme DW’s but will be going with Pirelli’s when it’s time.

Thanks for the info. Discount Tire has more options in our area, including the Pirelli. But based on everything I've read, I'm gonna give the Continentals a try.
    Thanks everyone!

Isn't riding on the rims a little rough? ;)

I'm up for a new set too. Coming off Michelin Super Sport. Wow. just checked bought 1/2012. They are even cheaper (by some) now.

I opted for the BF tires. Sport Comp 2. Have been great so far. Drive my 348 a lot. Smooth. Predictable. Good in the rain too.

I agree. I have a 2014 Shelby and am on my 3rd set. Probably not the best if one is into "brand", but they're great from a performance standpoint, particularly in the wet and for the money. I also find them to be quiet - well, relatively speaking. I don't track my car either, but I do wind it up from time to time. I also live in FL so I can't attest to how well they grip in the cold, though probably no worse than any other high performance tire.
