Binotto said something else very weird. According to him Charles has the potential for being the greatest formula one driver in history, nothing less.. Maybe they have seen something extraordinary with the telemetry and could explain the five years contract for Leclerc. Vettel should retire right now or it will be a very painful year for him
Complaining about Charles at Monza - he should remember Multi 21 vs Mark. Vettel has zero credibility as far as 'team' goes at times LOL
So...exactly how are FIA and Ferrari stitching this up? Clearly something fishy is going on here with Ferrari the only one to benefit it would seem. Whilst I get this is a Ferrari forum and would not expect to see the same rhetoric that the various merc whining; this is going to affect all teams potentially unfairly, other than Ferrari and thus we have yet another unfair biased playing field....not good for the sport at all.
Good points regarding Vettel going for broke. Hopefully, it does not have a negative impact on the team. If so, I would not be opposed to having Raikkonen finish the season with Ferrari. I would even take a gamble on Giovinazzi, depending on how well he performs against Raikkonen early on.
https://www.planetf1.com/news/toto-wolff-ferrari-suspiciouns/ Four weeks ahead of the new season, Toto Wolff has his suspicions that Ferrrai’s form won’t be as poor in Austria as it was in testing.
I have suspicions about Toto's suspicions. Ferrari simply looked slow, beyond running low engine modes. Unless Ferrari was running slow engine modes and heavy all the time, Ferrari have a LOT of work to do.
Just dropped in(to see what condition my condition was in) +1 Seriously does anyone doubt that Mercedes will qualify 1-2?
Mercedes' rear end is worth a lot more than DAS. All eyes are on DAS but that rear end is the business. Red Bull coming with a big improvement apparently, hopefully they can keep Merc honest. Ferrari claiming they're practically coming with their car from the test...
The new cars will have KERNS drawing energy from forward momentun, while DAS will harvest centrifugal forces from turning and feed that into VT (venturi tubes) under the deflectors right behind the aeros e vacuum generating floor providing a significant extra 0,03 milisecond faster lap at a reasonable extra cost of 5,7 Million Euros in R&D which is cheap I miss Naturaly Aspirated internal combustion engines and manual transmissions driven by men with a passion for racing Everything else is a ginormous PILE of DUDUH !
This whole fuel flow limitation is just stupid. You should get an maximum amount of fuel and you should be allowed to use it in any manner you feel fit. If you still have fuel on the last lap, you can even win. It would also make the turbo V6s sound better (if only by a little.)
You are right but something gives me hope , Leclerc race simulation last testing days was on par with Bottas one s ( same track temperature etc ..) Adding downforce improves tyre degradation. Race pace should be a lot better
The Red Bull Ring has been a good track for Red Bull. That's why Mateschitz was so eager to offer it for a double header. The circuit flatters his cars and Verstappen will be favourite probably. After the second weekend in Austria, the Dutchman could have 50 points in his bag already (52 with luck).
