To be fair, I was prepared to be disappointed by the sound. It actually sounds a bit better in the video than I expected. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Nice idea and great to see Charles giving it some serious welly. but ... the sound? who on earth wants to buy into this? reminds me of Formula E..sorry.
I remember the poll taken by Ferrari just a few years ago. Clients responded that the sound of a Ferrari was extremely important. That video must have some audio issues or that is the least musical Ferrari ever made.
Let’s face it, it’s no V12 in the sound department. But then neither are any of the V8s. If it goes as well as that, the sound is good enough to have me fully engaged. If I want nicer sound I’ll take the 812 and go a bit slower, but I reckon the SF90 looks like it could be low, fun, nice to be in. If they get the tech right this will be a worthy Ferrari. I’m personally looking forward to getting behind the wheel and putting the pedal down.
Agree Maybe the same weight as a 812sf but 200hp more. Looking Leclerc driving it in Monaco streets, car seems to be genuinely fast.
Taxation is a funny thing...I was just comparing this car w/ the Phantom VIII purely from the price point; and I took the prices in the US and the Netherlands just to have an overall image...This is what I got (sure, this is what the web reveals, but cannot imagine the reality being too far off) Ferrari SF90 Stradale starting price (US): $625,000 (this boggles my mind. Perhaps it's a full option price?) Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII starting price (US): $457,750 Ferrari SF90 Stradale starting price (NL): €451,837 Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII starting price (NL): €545,000 So it's more expensive than the Phantom for an American buyer, but much cheaper for a Dutch buyer Sources: Top Gear Nederland Car & Driver Magazine
Maybe it´s related to the displacement and the hybrid stuff but that American price must include some options.
I also think the American price includes some options (perhaps the Assetto Fiorano package + other things?) That said, I suppose part of it has to do with the EU providing more incentives for "electrified" cars than the US

There are some good angles for this car for sure, unfortunately side & rear view not so much. I think darker colours will be more favourably and hide some of the messy elements of the design.
You cant just grab numbers from various countries and compare them. Some price will be shown including taxes and incentives on hybrid powertrains, while others are before taxes. One thing for sure, your starting price for the SF90 in the US is way off, by more than 100k. MSRP is $507k, or $512k after delivery and gaz guzzler fees. Treat yourself with the AF package, the stripe, an unusual set of colors and few carbon bits, and that price will bump close to 700k.
