Hello - Looking for some advice - after winter of storage with soft top up had issues putting top down - looks like winter storage has affected function - emergency switch necessary for putting top up but not top down - windows go down as supposed to as per standard procedure - suspect microswitch at back of top on one side may be squished either open or closed so control module thinks top is not correct to open - added oil to reservoir and top does need adjustment
    - any thoughts as to culprit

Your suspicion on the microswitch adjustment may be correct, but I thought that if just one of the many components were out of place, that the sequence would not begin. Do you hear a beep when trying to put it down? Sometimes just re-latching the top and starting over may have it start working. THE most overengineered power convertible top on earth.

(EDIT: Posted a couple of messages, then realised that you said the top doesn't go up, not doesn't go down. Messages deleted)

If the roof goes down, it's not the microswitch which triggers the buzzer that is faulty (otherwise the roof wouldn't go down). You could have faulty contacts on the UP switch

You could also have a faulty internal switch in the left secondary ram as mentioned in a message thread yesterday. Could be expensive. You may have to systematically check the microswitches in each hydraulic actuator with the roof in various positions. Also, you could "exercise" the emergency switches (with power off) as the switches have multiple contacts which are also used in normal roof operation.

Is the motor running when you're trying to put up the roof normally (and it just doesn't move)?

Wiring diagram here (for 5.2 car):

Sorry.. 2am here... I better catch some sleep before I start offering any more advice :p

One thing to try is start with the top up. Then begin to lower it. Don't let it go all the way down. Stop about 1/2 way. Then try to put the top up. If it goes up from 1/2 way down but not from all the way down it's probably something to do with the all the way down position. One other point. When you try to put the top up from the all the way down position, do the seats move forward correctly? You said the windows go down, how about the seat movement?
