Congrats! Another black 348 owner here!

The two shelves to the right over the car scare me! Be careful!

Nice car! Where in NC are you? I go up to the western end of the state pretty often, could meet up for a drive if you are also in the area.

Congrats man. Solid car. We’ll sorted it’s a real gem. I drive mine a lot. At least 2-3x/ week. Errands, to work, etc. Here’s a pic I took today getting essentials during this quarantine. My 9 yo son tagged along. I like this pic Symbolizes the moment. Flag at half staff, empty parking lot, wearing our masks...

Sorry for the late reply - I don't get onto Ferrarichat as much as I used to (I usually end up upsetting somebody sooner or later, or getting into some stupid argument [especially in the F1 section!], so I tend to stay away these days - Less stress in my life that way).

I bought my 348 TS in the spring time, so could use it straight away. Whilst driving it, I noted what the oil temperature was after a good long run, when I knew it had to be fully warmed up (TBH, I can't remember what the temperature was, but it shouldn't be too hard to find out).

Come the Winter time, when there was ice, snow , and worse still, salt on the roads, I would warm the car up in the garage, with the door open, so the fumes would go straight outside, until the oil temp on the gauge read the same as it would after a long drive.

I did note that the oil warmed up a lot later than the water temp did (As I was told it would) - So always ran the car, with slowly increasing revs, until the oil got hot.

Makes sense the oil hates getting hot idling in a garage especially when cold out. Need revs.

Funny thing about the 348 more so than any other I think, at 3/4 view from the front or even full side it is unbelievably sexy. So you take your phone and snap a pic and the pic looks flat and not particularly sexy. Move the phone and use your eyes and its sexy again. I think the camera does not capture the roundness of the car. Everyone who see it in person says wow it looks different in person.

100% agreed. I have battled with this for years. Can NEVER capture the beauty of the 348 in a picture. I still cant believe how this works.

Awesome story, I like this kind of road to the first Ferrari, mine was considerably long, but well worth the wait.....
Enjoy the 348 and be sure to keep us posted on your Ferrari adventures....

Interesting perspective you have here, I find exactly the same thing. The first thing I noticed about the 348 when I saw one for the first time in the flesh was how it looks more "curvaceous", "flowing lines", and an aspect which photos do not seem to convey.
I have been trying to take the best picture possible since I have got my 348.....The camera does not do the 348 justice, but I think this one is pretty good though...
