    Hi guys,
    I got a 2012 FF and I need help.
Battery is fine, everything else is working just fine.
    but trunk is not opening.
key and button both are not working.
how can I open the trunk manually?
and what seems to be a problem?

Try locking the car with the key, then unlocking and relocking. Do this three times in a row. This always works for me when my trunk lid won't respond to the key or the button inside.

Shot in the dark. Try holding the key fob unlock and trunk release buttons simultaneously for 5s. This works on the Cali...

Similar to what Eric has suggested: Walk around the car while locking and unlocking with the key fob until the trunk pops open. I was at FoA previous weekend and this occurred. The dealership mechanic was there and showed how it was done.

    Cool!

I was so embarrassed when the Ferrari service manager showed me this little trick after I was complaining about the stupid trunk not working. This little sequence seems to be the way to clear some computer confusion that occurs occasionally in the car, so its nice to remember.

Congrats on the car, too! Post a pic for us to see it, but more important, enjoy driving!

If you’ve disconnected the battery, then the central locking and trunk latch need to be re-initialised.

The way to do this is to drop and raise the windows fully and to operate the central locking.

I also had the embarrassment of not knowing this when the car broke down. I tried to clear the fault with a battery disconnect and then couldn’t get into the trunk which made my day a whole lot worse as the manual gearbox unlock mechanism is in the trunk and the car was stuck in P.

EFA - it’s the windows and trunk latch which need to be re-initialised...

When you say "key" in the quote below, do you mean the actual "key" or the key-fob?

Quote: Try locking the car with the key, then unlocking and relocking. Do this three times in a row. This always works for me when my trunk lid won't respond to the key or the button inside.

Yes it’s the actual key, my trunk wouldn’t open and I closed the drivers door 3 times with my key and opened it 3 times and all of a sudden All worked

    Happened to me
Last week which is why I resurrected it: open and close with your key 3 times your drivers door and it will work.

Mine is not opening. I had to crawl through the trunk to get it opened. Also on the way down after I opened it it will not latch.

Well might be your battery. Is it on tender?
    For us it seems
That 3 opening and close without opening the door itself leads to
Resetting the code and it opens

It's been on the tender until I took it to a body shop for some work. I think it may be a battery issue as well.

You need to use the key to remotely lock and unlock the car to re-initialise the trunk opener.

Bump of appreciation. I’m having recurring battery/wiring issues and this happened this morning with my jumper cables in the trunk . The lock/unlock process got the trunk open.
