    Hello Forum,

I have a problem with ODB II diagnostics, I can´t get access to the Bosch Motronic.
The access to the other electronic control units are working well.
I have no wiring diagram, but the perspective drawings.
Which wires connect the 4E connector (ODB II) with T1 Bosch Motronic? It´s possible to measure via resistance and continuity measurement, or are several units between?
How the Can bus works? It´s parallel or serially connected?

    thank you
    kind regards Daniel

The clue is in the name- bus. CAN uses all nodes on the same network connected in parallel. The engine ecus are on the C-CAN, which is the 500k high speed CAN with a can high and a can low line.

You’ll have “Uxxxx” error codes on other nodes if you’ve got networking issues where they can’t communicate with the engine ecus.

Would need to check detailed wiring diagrams to check whether the C-CAN is accessible from the OBD plug. Lots of cars only have the comfort CAN or the fault tolerant (airbag) CAN systems physically connected to the OBD.

There’s a K line on these ecu’s; you sure the diagnosis aren’t communicating through this?

if the car drives well, I'd bet its the connector itself got a problem

    Hello,
    Thank you for replies.
The problem was not the connection to the ecus, the ecus was tuned and the access was unwanted.

the connector are on the other side of the pic you posted, you can't remove them?

Still strange that an ecu tune would block OBD diagnostics.

Did you confirm this was the issue by reflashjng a standard Firmware version?

It was possible to remove the connector and the ODB wire was connected

I can’t, we not touched the ECU, but the car had much more power than a normal 360
