It does. But honestly, if you don't track it which many don't, the MPSS is a much better choice so I'm sure that's why it has the 488 rubber on it.
What do you mean? It's way too early to tell if it's going to sell at MSRP. But like I said, nobody will put in bids this early.
As I said in the post, I am surprised it would sell for MSRP. I don't know anything about these auctions so I was commenting on the bid of $450k that had been mentioned.
Lots of trickery in auctions... especially for ferrari's. Somehow they sell for above prices that one can get from a dealer.
this is how I did my spec. Did virtually every piece of exterior carbon except for the carbon wheels. Not much other frivolous stuff. I think I was around 430 for the coupe.
Hey a butt for every seat, so more power to buyer at a price he/she thought was 'good deal'. But damn it's ugly IMHO. Man those rims just kill me ...Ferrari really screwed the pooch on those stock rims--thank god for after market. Another Austin Ferrari pump and dump car.
Tend to agree on the rims also, and the poor exhaust note. But otherwise a very good competitor to the McLaren LT and 720s.
Disagree on LT...will reserve final comment until after actually built. But have a feeling LT will smoke it.
Well what you said was not that you were surprised IF it was going to sell at MSRP. Go back and read your own post. You said, "I am surprised the Pista IS going to sell at MSRP". In that you are stating that you are surprised it will sell at MSRP not if. If you meant "if" that's cool, just saying that your initial post was worded as a final outcome rather than a possibility. I bet it will be. I passed, too worried it will be Pista-like in terms of excitement factor. If I am wrong, there is a spyder version coming.
Mclaren needs to survive long enough to build it. Let’s hope royal family of Bahrain is ok putting in a couple hundred more million if the capital markets won’t bail them out.
If the LT is as "underrated " power wise as the 720S, it's not really a fair comparison. The Pista is pretty much dead on its claimed power number but the 720S has been proven to make close to 800 hp. So if Mclaren wants to up the power 45 hp over the 720S then what? It's going to be a 835-840 hp car McLaren will vlaim makes 765 and say is a competitor to the Pista. Look at it this way. In a straight line, a 720S is slightly faster than a Pista. Makes sense as there's a significant difference in power. But on tracks around the world, the Pista has shown to outperform the 720S, and this sometimes pretty significantly. Now imagine how much more that difference would grow if you added a Novitec power upgrade to a Pista which takes it to about the same 790 hp the 720S makes. Not only would it absolutely destroy the 720S in every type of performance contest, I'm sure the LT would have its work cut out for it. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
So we will count this one as having sold over MSRP. There are many impulsive buyers who consider money fungible. It will be interesting if the buyer is a member of this site....here in South Florida many non-residents buy exotics and know very little or care about resale value. The cars live in the condo basements and are used sparingly with no emotional attachment to the car.
Was that number accurate that new car sales dipped last year? Cannot remember the source If so...i wonder if F1 or supercars goes...
