That's becuase the rest of us have been either too busy, lazy, or goofy to get off our azzes and get it done! Congrats to you though! detriot; Have you considered making any of your brackets available for those that may want them? Thanks. Paul
I'd be very interested in buying a set of brackets as well. my Rennspeed bumpers are setting on a shelf because I'm too lazy/etc to scheme up brackets and find someone to fab them....
Ya'll keep taking these heavy bumpers off.. I can use the spares...... Let's see if we can find the link to the repair/repaint kit...it did turn out nice, IMO.
Hi. Thank you for this parts. Very nice. I am very interested. I have a 308 GTSi US and want to change bumpers in EURO. Have you the exact measurements for metal fittings. KInd regards. chris34
Hmm, can only find old posts, but here is mine solution: Did some aluminium casting to fabricate a tube bracket. The bumper and tube is from superformance.co.uk Best Regards, Arild, Norway Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man, that looks heavy duty! Well done!! We did have a new thread in the Section where the guy needs a good take off....
Ok Arild, I need a set of those cast aluminum brackets. If interested in making an additional set, I would be happy to purchase them from you. Awesome work Andrew
Those cast aluminum brackets are absolutely beautiful. I'd love to see a few more photos and maybe an explanation on the manufacturing process. Most people just do CNC but a dedicated casting is very unusual.
Thanks for like my casting! The manufacture process is as follows: First design the looks of the part using CAD, then 3D print the part in 102% size (because aluminium will shrink in the casting process). -Make a sand mould, using the printed part and add a channel for letting the melted alu enter. Fill up with molten alu! Machine the part... I can of course make up more parts, but it's time consuming, and only intended for my hobby! However, for a set casting only: 250usd Ready machined: 400usd This casts are for my US Ferrari 308GTS 1978 with bumper and tube from Superformance.co.uk ,I cannot guarantee it will fit other... PS: I have also made a droplink, as mine was weared down in a "lost rear wheel"! It seems to be in good quality (very strong alu) Image Unavailable, Please Login Best regards, Arild
