I think most low mile examples are already tucked away in collections and may never go up for sale til the owner dies. I think the buyer of this CS probably won’t drive it.

I won’t pay the premium as I prefer to drive vs store it.

This is the reason I pulled the trigger on a 24k mile example. $165k was reasonable for a driver in the very good condition it was in.

I wish a Scud gearbox could be retrofitted to the CS.

I think it would be cheaper to make a SCUD sound like a CS.

Freshmeats’s Scud sounds better than any CS IMO. But the Scud is nowhere near as beautiful as a CS and the only real drawback of the CS is that it doesn’t have that amazing gearbox of the Scud. I won’t spend the money because, as you eluded to, it’d cost a fortune. Someone made a manual CS so isn’t too far fetched to think someone could transplant gearboxes.

I second that on Freshmeat’s Scud with the S-line exhaust. I heard it years ago on the Sonoma Raceway and as I much I love the sound of my CS, his sounded wicked and dare I say better than any modern F car I’ve heard.

^ Yet still pokes his head inside the CS section because he’s lowkey remorseful and wants one back. Haha I’m sure CS owners do the opposite or no??? Both are amazing tho.

Hehe, I wouldn't say remorseful, but as I mentioned several times before on fchat, it's more nostalgia than anything. I don't miss driving it as much as I miss looking at it, especially in the company of the Scud. And as I've said before if money was no object and space in the city was no object either, I would've undoubtedly kept both. Maybe my current exploration toward moving to Austin will change things, but in all honesty, I'm lusting for a Pista.

I don't regret selling it...enjoyed the heck out of it, clocked 20+k miles, and still managed to sell it for more than I paid. In hindsight, ya sure, if I had held onto it a bit longer I could've gotten a little more.

Sound-wise, my CS had full Tubi and it was glorious, but if I were to compare, I'd say it was only 80% as glorious as my current scud setup; in the scud you get everything you'd get from the tubi'd CS, just with some extra umph e.g. the aggressive dual canon fire on downshifts in the Scud is insane. No doubt, all things being stock, the CS sounds better. And no doubt, the Pista sounds pretty much like arse compared to either (modified or not), but man I think it's the most beautiful non-Pininfarina fcar I've seen and the speed omg...as a passenger I was stunned.

Best performance fcar to compliment the best sounding fcar, my kinda 2-horse stable.

So, ya I think depending on what type of owner you are, each car will tug harder at different heartstrings.

Powercraft 4-1 headers, Powercraft race cats and S-line x-pipe muffler. For most, just the x-pipe will be enough to open up the car.

I have a few iPhone-recorded clips on instagram...odds are, you also have an iPhone and have recorded other sound bytes so should make it easy to compare apples to apples. YouTubers and their varying degrees of fancy camera gear, microphones, post-editing processes etc can be really deceptive...that definitely became evidently clear to me after having bought so many different systems...and I've bought pretty much every one out there in pursuit of the perfect, high-pitched F1-shrill of yesteryears.

Just a heads up before hitting play, she's a screamer...
