I have a few “daily’s” all are for different uses and times. 20 CGT 19 Urus 18 Raptor Rocky Ridge 15 S550 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not even kidding when I say fully loaded Ford Raptor... my absolute favorite daily driver and I've had everything.
+1 for the RS7. I, too, drove a 2016 APR Stage 1 tuned RS7. 680hp and 730tq. Scary fast and incredibly practical. Sold it after I received a 911 cab as part of a family member’s estate and wife said pick one. I could not part with the 911 for sentimental reasons so the RS7 had to go but I miss it every day. I have had various daily drivers and now settled and very happy with Range Rover for winter and bad weather and 911 other times. Nice combination for me anyway and it makes me appreciate one on its own merits.
Range Rover P400e for me. The plug in hybrid means I do any local stuff on pure electric. Recent swap from a Tesla Model X, which was a great electric car but a rubbish car if you know what I mean...
Hey Dontbethatguy , I also have a 2016 RS7 (and Ferrari 458 Spider, and Victory 8-Ball bike), but curious on advice on the APR tune on the RS. Any advice? Where did you go to get it done?
2017 Bolt EV for the daily beater - cheap, easy, and efficient. No stress about parking it anywhere. Absolutely no fun to drive though 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon on 37s is my other DD - serves double duty as my weekend trail and rock climber and convertible when you want! Love it!! 2017 Model X is the family DD - probably the best DD for young kids in car seats - those falcon doors are a back savers! Wife wont consider anything else now 2015 458 Spider - every other chance I get!
My daily is an '18 M5, which I slap snows on during the winter. It's a jack of all trades "master of all"! However, nothing is like the 458! Wifey drives a '19 X7M and I also have an '84 911 Targa and a '17 Masi MC Cabrio. BTW, Masi for sale w/ only 3k on the clock and i'm the original owner. FYI, same F136 engine as in the 458, but obviously tuned down. PM me if interested! I had a 2016 S7 for 3 years and boy do I miss that car. One of the most fun to drive cars I’ve ever had. The only gripe is the seats weren’t that comfortable for long drives . I have a 2017 Alpina B7 now. There’s no better highway cruiser in my opinion. In the mornings on the way to work I look at my other cars and just know I’ll arrive to work more comfortable and refreshed in the Alpina .
You must have a lot of patience! How the hell do you go from that to a 458??!! I'd pull my hair out, but I'm a type A! lol
I have a 575M that I purchased about 10 years ago and a 500 SL. The Lexus was purchased new and only has 180,000 miles.
I drive a Prius Prime daily. Absolutely bullet-proof, so I don't mind the time spent on upkeep of the weekend cars. I only put gas in it every eight or ten weeks. However, if I were picking a daily driver today, I would get a Porsche Macan. My wife drives a '19 Cayenne e-hybrid, and I just love its performance, handling and the many accessories that we loaded into it. But the smaller Macan would be better for me.
Have you considered the Maserati QP GTS? Plenty or room in rear seat and trunk. Looks and drives great, I have had the 2014, 2017, and now the 2020 that have all been my daily driver. Approx. 13,000 miles per year with no issues!
Rubi on 37s?!? I thought 35 was max? I'm gonna need to see a picture of this bad boy! The dirtier the better! T
Awesome line up. I have to ask though, between the CGT and the Raptor, what makes you want to use the Urus for a particular drive, since you have uber-lux and a truck? Do you feel that the Urus ends up just overlapping with no specific mission? Admittedly this is my own problem between 458 + Giulia QV, both blistering performance but I find I only drive the Giulia now when I need back seats or its raining.
I drove a several Maserati QP GTS for a number of years and then realized its quite rare I have passengers in the rear seats so decided on a Lusso 3 years ago and love it! It's reliable and have had no problems except for a bad door latch which was replaced under warranty. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My daily driver is a 2008 Malibu. Most reliable car I've ever owned. But, something tells me you won't be considering a Chevy.
