New Magnum PI series debuts tonight!

the new higgins is very short. built like a fireplug. like a gymnast.
and her legs are too short relative to her torso.

Higgins is the most annoying character in the new series, period.
Plus in some scenes she walks like she has a had a hip displacement.
Weird !!

 

Great! Actually, they also have the eight series box set of the original. I've given my missus a hint for my birthday (along with the "Jungle Birds" Hawaiian shirt)

Nevermind; call me whatever you will, but I love her accent, and would very much have English lessons with her...
(Ah gosh! Considering the age difference, I might be liable for that thought; then "I reserve my rights", etc!...)

agree, higgins waddles when walking. the whole show is horribly miscast and the characters boring. TC hangs out in a bar w Rick all day. at least on the old show the bar was on the beach w great views.

 

Hmm... I would say that she has no hips just a straight form from toes to chin . Looks like I'll have to pay more attention when the series starts back up.

And, as such, was impossible to replace. I'm glad they didn't try, because there was only one John Hillerman.

… why you never want to lend your car to a movie company.

 

I have enough trouble getting in and out of my car with an open door, i can't imagine getting in and out with that contraption attached.

 

Front bumper looks tucked much further in than on my '79 car. Can't even see the rear bumper in the first pic. Is that a QV? Were the bumpers tucked closer in on those as factory delivered?

Given the black "A" pillars, momo wheel I would say early QV maybe '83 ? or '84?

 

The black A pillar and oil temp/clock say 83 QV. The side mirrors and front bumper say euro-spec.

Its funny when you think about it but to me, Hernandez seems a bit too young to play Magnum as I know Magnum.

But he is actually 5 years older than Selleck was when Selleck started the series.

Tom Selleck had one of those faces that always looked more mature than what his actual age was at the time.

 

If you watch the first episode closely, they used actually two different QV GTSs: one "euro" and one "US".
