    Take apart your battery disconnect and clean oxidation off copper.

    I think what you are referring to was only on the early 512tr models. The later models like the 94 have a better connection on the cam cover. I know for a fact because I updated my 92.

    Yes the ground disconnect under the front trunk.

    How difficult is it to take that apart? Can it all be done from inside the trunk or do I have to remove the front clip?

    On my 87, pull back the carpet and disassemble with the trunk just open.

    Well, it's now been over 200 miles since the new clutch release bearing and the 512TR is running beautifully (and on all 12 cylinders!).
    As promised, I have computed the actual cost of this DIY Major Service adventure. Check it out in the thread "Real Cost of 512TR DIY Major Service" in this section. I also have some extra service parts which I will list in classified section if anyone is interested.
