Is this GTSi badge emblem on the interior fuse block cover panel the same as on the rear of the 308? Mine is missing and was unfortunately covered in a wrong vinyl texture and a drywall screw instead of a Tenax fastener!! Mini project #293/1308

On very early injected cars you will see GTS/GTB on the fuse cover.

My guess has always been this was Ferrari’s way of using up their stock of them since they couldn't be used on the outside back anymore.

I see yours is an 80 model. I'm surprised you don't have the GTS.

The cover panel on this 1980 was recovered with non-correct vinyl and the emblem was not replaced. I see the 3 small holes on the backside to accept the emblem. In search of the correct vinyl and an emblem now.

Thats interesting as I don’t think that they were used on the GTB/GTS fuse cover.

Funny, but in 39 years of paying attention to these little details, I don't think I ever noticed that they were not on the carbed cars.

Certainly many of the 80's had it "i" on the panel. But quite a few didn't and I always found it interesting

The GTBi/Si emblem on the fuse box cover are SMALLER than the exterior rear emblem by quite a bit.

    Two different part numbers.

    Otherwise, they look identical.

I am ASSUMING for the GTB/S emblems as well.

My memory is not 100% but I think on my 80 GTSi my cover did not have the "i" just GTS. Mine was the second US spec injected GTS

In my experience, this is correct, the 2V GTSi/GTBi have the same Badge as on the rear of the car. The QV has a smaller badge for the fuse panel

My 81 came to me with a small one.

It is also missing the Pininfarina badge on the driver's side rear. NO bondo. NO paint discoloration. Zip.

Maybe a Monday 'Hangover Car' or Friday 'Already drunk at noon Car'?

    Don't know.

Here is my take having looked at my car.

If you have an "i" on the inside, it is smaller than the one on the rear.

As I mentioned before, many of the first 2Vi models in 80 had the non injection GTS or GTB on the panel. These ARE the same ones on the rear of the carbed cars. That's why they always looked so big to me.

Yes, my 80 GTSi did indeed have a plain ol' GTS dash panel badge.

While factory correct, this mis-match always bugged me. So I bought another rear taillight GTSi badge and swapped it for the dash GTS badge.

Since the "GTS" part on both versions are sized exactly the same, the addition of the 'i" at the end of the badge was OK with me, and I do not feel that it looks too big.

    Here's the end result:

Dave, since I have your ear - did you replace any of the black vinyl in the interior and where did you source the vinyl (and leather?)?
I don't care for the sample sent to me from Worlduph.com.

My car came with the OEM black interior, and a decade ago I got a seat kit from GAHH in tan, with black piping. At the same time I bought from them addition tan leather, and a local interior fitter used the extra leather to redo the top portion of the door panels. I intentionally kept my console and carpet in black, giving me a unique two-tone look. I've been really pleased with the end result.

Thanks, Richard...I am not sure why I did not check Ferrparts/etc.... but just eBay. I bought a quality emblem from eBay but there are no stems to stick thru the body panel (just has the sticky tape). I am sure these have the stems to push thru the vinyl thru the aluminum panel.

Yes you are correct. NLA as new and horribly expensive for good second hand one with pins in tact. The stick on ones are a good affordable option.

My April 1980 sn 31959 has GTS interior badge and GTSi on rear exterior. Also silver steering wheel and 14 inch wheels. It is fuel injected. 85 mph speedometer with 6 digit plus 10th odometer. Nice radio delete on the one picture and where is the louver for the small side window on the other picture above?
