    Looks rather like the Series 2 that was at the Geneva show which Kare thinks it was 035/S...

    Occam's razor says it is quite likely that 035/S was completed in March, displayed in Geneva and then raced by Cornacchia.

    Regarding the dark blue Touring coupe with additional headlights at Marzotto’s courtyard, Cabo sport wheels lead to Touring coupe series 2. The only car which I have zero picture is 025/S. Any chance it could be this one ?

    This set of pics is often described as a 195 Inter or even a 212 Inter, but for sure it's 0047/S with its Aerlux roof and two slots on hood.

    18 May 1950 : Ascari won the Luxembourg GP with a 166 MM #11 (s/n 0038/M). Villoresi was second with a 275 S #10 apparently fitted with a 2 liters engine (not 100 % sure if it was 0030/MT or 0032/MT...)

    Hans Roosdorp was also there (result : 4th) with 0014/M.

    I have this pic labelled as "1950 Luxembourg GP" but I doubt it was really the same race.

    Raced at the XX Grand Prix des Frontières by Roosdorp, race #3, placed 6th in heat 1, placed 4th in heat 2 and 4th on aggregate.
    Pictured pages 106, 108 and 170 of André Biaumet’s softbound book „Le Grand Prix des Frontières à Chimay“, Tome 1, Courses Automobiles de 1926 à 1959.

    Hi,

    Sorry, I am very late into this game, but having read and browsed the nice two book set about Touring, I could not avoid noticing the trafficators fitted to very few early Ferrari street cars. I don't think I have seen them on any other ones than the Touring Berlinettas.

    I am just curious, as your (Cyril) drawing and the Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni 1/10 scale drawing (dated 04-03-1948, COUPÉ A 2 - 4 POSTI) on pg 306 in the 1st vol of the Touring book shows the trafficator in the position which I consider "normal", as most British and French cars of the era had it there, if the car was a convertible or a "pillarless" coupe.

    Most normal saloons and VW's etc had it in the B-pillar, but coachbuilt more elegant cars usually had it behind the door (2-door cars). Now I have been told that small sports cars, or small cars in general could also have the trafficator below the A-pillar, in front of the door.

    I don't know if the original Touring Body for 005/S ever had a trafficator but I can see that the original body on 007/S for sure had one and it was mounted in front of the door in the side of the front wing and that the show car at Turin in 1948 had it, just like in those drawings, behind the door. To bad the original bodies of 007/S and 013/S have not survived. :(

    It's too bad that we don't often see photos of the Motor show cars where the doors would be open, but due to my background I have been keenly always looking if the door glass has a chrome or aluminum frame or if there is no frame. Among other differences it looks like many of the early Touring Berlinettas on Ferrari 166 chassis had many different treatment to the front, and the door positioning (the Turin 1948 show car and original body of 007/S and 005/S very clearly had a straight line in the back, where as the later ones continue onto the rear wing) and positioning the trafficators.

    Just a small detail, but I find it very interesting.

    Very interesting, thank you. Trafficators were also fitted on early Stabilimenti Farina coupes (009/S, 021/S, 031/S and 037/S) and cabriolets (011/S and 033/S)...

    At least two Ferrari cars : 0030/MT and 0063/S, already shown at the 1950 Paris Show...
