Starting a search for a Gen 1 Raptor - let me know what you have
My 2011 is on consignment at my buddies dealership. It's in great shape, 68k miles, service records. https://kassermg.com/listings/2011-ford-f150-svt-raptor/
Thank you sir, love the white and relatively local I will contact them next week. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Can someone educate me on why the Raptor is desirable? I don’t mean this in a negative manner, but out of curiosity as I’ve seen a few “exotic” car owners owning them.
Are you a truck guy? I didn't think I was till I bought a F250 for towing my DE car...it quickly became my everyday car but was not sensible since it was a crew cab long bed screaming diesel. The raptor with a 5.5 ft bed, bulletproof drivetrain, sport feel, decent towing capacity and probably the best looks of any pickup checks all the boxes for me....and clearly many others. I plan to use this as a daily. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
I love the (V8) Raptor...such a shame with the newer models that they went V6 Turbo...very good engine but missing that sound track. I think that's a huge contribution what makes the Gen 1 raptor so desirable. Had a 2004 F250 V10 (not in the States). Still miss it every day. It was an event to drive...(probably not so much in the States mind you). Can't import one here but definitely on the shopping list when I'm back in civilisation, or a V8 Raptor!
Test drove other trucks. I love my Raptor! Paint corrected and ceramic coated. You can upgrade the lighting in G1’s too easily for a more up to date look with LED’s. View attachment 2939419
My F250 even got the raptor treatment before I knew I wanted one... Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Hey jferrante, I've got my eye on something else. So I'm lowering the price of the Raptor to $31,600. That's what I have into it.
This may be more Raptor than what you’re looking for, but I am selling my 2013 Gen 1 Hennessey Velicoraptor 650 - 6.2L Supercharged. It has 69k miles and has been impeccably maintained. Any questions, just let me know. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Definitely not more than I'm looking for but definitely more than I'm looking to spend. thing is a beast! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Good news I am sorting a few things with job this week before committing I'll be in touch. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
I hate the sound of the V6. But after waiting for the V8 to return I finally caved and bought a new 2019. The V6 will out run the V8 by a wide margin. The live valve technology on the new Fox shocks is light years ahead of the Gen 1 suspension. I’m happy overall but still hate the sound. Looks better than my Jeep behind my coach. oh it's a great looking car...absolutely. Love everything about it except that engine! Rumour about that 7 liter V8 didn't come true I believe. Dodge just greenlit the Ram Rebel TRX Hellcat...with a proper V8! It's a shame Ford couldn't...
V8 less hp, less torque, weighs 400 lbs more. The new 10 speed trans is nice too. If they could just fix that lame V6 noise. I might try quieter exhaust and see if that helps.
The worse part of the engine noise is because it is sound played over the stereo. Need to shut it off
Because they're a big "F You!" to the prissy even pavement loving fuel cell/hybrid/electric cars that came out and were beginning to proliferate our streets. That's the main thing, but they are also a ton of fun to drive both on and off the road.
