Hah, you're the second one to say that. The pic was just taken in direct sunlight and it's flat. It's certainly black, not grey.
Well, it's been a while since my last update....and I've worked slightly on getting the exhaust fitted I have not finished it--and I've been working and travelling like a crazy man. So, hopefully when I return from this latest trip, I'll be able to finish up the exhaust installation and get to driving the car which is the most important right? So here it sits.... Hah, still haven't worked to fit the exhaust properly. I am going to double down on the efforts. But 50679 now has a friend.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good day Brian, Nice friend for 50679! I love the color combination! I wish for you to enjoy them both in excellent health! Cheers, Sam
Jeez, It’s been waayyyy too long since the exhaust came off. I had it up on the lift to assess what I need to do. Had a guy measure it and I’m going to remove the basically unused stainless Nouvolari center sections and do straight stainless pipes. Now removed from the lift abd put back in its parking space. Damn these cars are heavy! haha. I love getting in it. The smell is so nice. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, nearly two years after the last post--with a company acquisition that I was working on that summer of 18, then a lot of work with domestic and international travel since then, I am finally (I know, I know) picking this exhaust project up again. This time for real (you guys are probably laughing at me, haha, and yes I deserve it. It's been way too long.) In Aug 2019 or so I went to the UK and had Nouvalari send me four little weld on flared parts and triangular brackets they use for the center section to factory header connections. These flared parts will be welded to the tubing. Received two Magnaflow 94008 cats a few days ago and just ordered four straight 304 stainless pipes from Stainless Works in Ohio. Weld these little flares to the front of the tubing, and cut it at about 16cm for ahead of the cats, and then about 120cm from the back of the cats to the connections at the rear sections and I bet this thing will sound amazing. Obviously, I took inspiration from many of you here who had straight pipes for the center sections, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great thread ! I had a red 75/Milano QV (as well as a black one and a couple of 33's) and always wanted a manual 400/412. Eventually ended up with my 612.
I ended up selling my Milano Verde about 9 months ago. Loved that car, but it was time. (Part of me has always wanted a 33 or a 155 also. Love that era of Alfa styling.) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some goodies came yesterday so I decided to set everything out. A couple of the gaskets and one of the balance pipe caps are on the car already due to test fitting. Now to weld things up. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Brian @bjwhite Quick question: Since you’ve been working on exhaust, maybe you already changed these parts. I wonder if you can point me on the right direction to find these parts that go between the heather and the catalytic converters or first resonator? Mine are in bad shape and exhaust leaks. Thank you for any pointers. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I ordered mine from Eurospares a few years ago. Part number 146698. They also list an alternative part number of 154984.
