one reason that keeps some sellers from using BaT is the relative low reserve they sometimes ask for (at least in the sellers' view) and or the arbitrary (non-market backed) reserve the ask for.

I went to take a look at this car.

Definitely a 6.5 /10. Aftermarket parts everywhere, rear bumper had paint run off, interior bits flaking off. I mean, it had 60k miles on it.

the owner was a good guy, his other cars on the lot looked pristine. when we test drove it the differential broke! Literally... mid test drive, the rear let loose and nothing but loud clunking on the way back.

It was fixed and put back up for sale. I mean, at ~ $115k. It was still tempting.

As mentioned before, prices in Switzerland for Scuds are stable in the middle to low km range. the high km cars have fallen slightly, overall the scud is still the bargain in terms of v8 Ferrari race edition.
Strangely enough, I seem to observe than the Speciale is falling too, albeit regardless of the km. But then again, prior to the Pista, Speciales werde trading really high.

We have 38 Scuderia, 28 Speciale and already 12 Pista on the market in Switzerland, and if we are honest, they (Scuderia and Speciale) stand as if screwed to the floor at the dealers. Effectively, these are traded at much lower prices as shown on the Internet.

The whole super sports car market is down. My colleague has wanted to sell his 488GTB, a very good offer, over a year no serious request. Now he will try to sell his Pista in the hope that he will find at least one interested party. He doesn't care about the price as long as he can sell one of them. Another friend is trying to sell his 720S. He has also taken the car off the market again, over a year no serious request.

Crazy times! I think we can also thank Greta. The future of sports cars is uncertain.

If it was a small accident, what's the problem?

That was not a "small" accident by the look of it on it's face and lack of documentation about it further does not help. If you look on copart you can see over time many ferrari's that were totaled out for less damage than shown in those pictures. Plus there are no receipts showing the repairs or costs. People don't like storied Ferrari's and ***** about 4-5 owners, this one has too many unknowns.

    Price is in line.

Well, a good inspection by a pro mechanic can resolve all these unknowns for sure. :) If the car has been repaired as it should, doesn't seem like a big deal to me. The condition of the car at the current moment is what matters after all...But of course different people have different understanding about things.

In closer look, it looks as if the bumper was from a yellow scud. I don't know if that is reflection or if the paint job was subpar. If that is a hint of yellow by the air duct grill...I would have reservations on the rest of the re-build.

In saying that, IMO, 90k is pretty good price to someone who doesn't care about the accident in it's record

..edit..Correction. I think the yellow is a reflection..

"Reserve not met on 3/31/20 at $153,000"

did not sell due to reserve. [I suspect the guy listing it didn't know (?) about the accident and thus had a higher reserve based on a "clean car". You can see that the accident only became "known" as the sale thread progressed and then only due to a member here]

I am currently in the market for a higher-mileage scud that's been cared for and serviced correctly, but driven.

I inquired about the black one currently available in San Antonio. Luckily, I found this thread. As a lawyer it pains me to see sellers willing to blatantly misrepresent vehicles as they have.

    Cheers.

Flooded market with far too many super sports cars combined with legally uncertain future (the unspeakable CO2 dilemma) and now additionally the deep fall into a long lasting recession.

Even as a gift, you're not able getting rid of these kind of cars at the moment, and that's not gonna change anytime soon.

Driving and enjoying, otherwise you'll go crazy.
